CBR Preferred Location - Worth It?

We're going to try CBR next year and I have been going back and forth about this. I guess it all boils down to what kind of experience you want. We rarely eat in the food courts at the resort (breakfast in room, lunch and dinner in the parks or at Deluxes) so proximity to the food court is not a big deal to me. And I prefer to swim at the quiet pools anyway. I like Disney resorts because they feel like a vacation within a vacation. I think I will enjoy how spread out CBR is, it's what I liked about CSR and POR (at least, that is my hope!)

Is it worth an extra $200 to stay at Martineque vs. say Jamaica for our 7 day stay? And, if you pay for a preferred location I'm assuming it's guaranteed? Please correct me if I'm wrong? What my best choice for me, DH & 5 yro DD? Opinions welcome. Thanks so much!

It is SO worth is, but, try for buildings 24, 25, or 26, those are closest to the bus stop and the food court. We were in 2651, and it was HEAVEN!! no noise, no foot traffic, short walk to main pool - which we enjoyed much more than other pool, and to food court. I am so happy we did that for our 2 week stay there, I couldn't have asked for a better location!

Have fun!

We used the OPR bus stop, which was closer to our room. Never a crowd.

IMHO, $200. is extra spending money in the parks! I wasn't willing to part with it just to be a little bit closer to OPR. We requested Martinique, but just not one of the 3 "preferred" buildings. We were very happy with that arrangement! :teeth:

Gotta Get To Disney! :moped:
