CBR pool ?

My Dad and I are booked at CBR Sep 7-11... I am not too concerned about the main pool being opened yet, but we will REALLY want to sit in a hot tub. Is the only hot tub at the main pool? Or are there more than one? And if there is only one, will it be open if the main pool is still under refurbishment? I read somewhere that the refurbishment is ahead of schedule... any chance that it will open by our dates? I don't care except that this is my Dads 1st trip to the world, and it would be nice if there was not any construction wall up at our resort... for ambiances sake, if nothing else!! Thanks!!

I think the pool is officially set to re open on September 15th. But I have been hearing on here that its probably going to be sooner. The whole area is roped off and that is where the hot tub is and they do only have that one. So I would highly doubt they'd let anyone in that area until the whole thing is all ready. Liability and the fact they don't like people to be any area that is being refurbed until its all done and perfect.

I hear you on wanting to NOT be looking at construction! That said, CBR is a large, lovely resort with lots of grounds and six other pools (but those don't have hottubs). So hopefully if they aren't finished yet, it won't detract too much.

Check out the CBR FAQ thread, they constantly have updates and Safetymom nicely posts pictures of the pool progress regularly.

CBR is my favorite moderate resort, I think its absolutely beautiful. I hope you and your dad will feel the same! Have a wonderful trip.

my dad will be disapointed if the hot tub is still closed, but we booked with free dining, and the only moderate resort available was CBR. I have never stayed there, and probably would have chosen CSR if it had been available (mostly because the Pepper Market looks really good, and they have a huge hot tub). But, I have hopes that the new pool area will be open by then... that is only a week before the regularly scheduled opening!!

I think you should head over to the CBR thread and post the question. Safetymom is keeping everybody up to date on the pool rehab as well as the room renovations currently going on.
