I've been planning on a trip with friends to go to CBR, but I'm looking at pics of CSR and it looks amazing. DO you thikkn CSR is better than CBR?

We didn't like CSR but then there are many fans of both resorts. I think it all comes down to the theming.

I have stayed at both and there were just certain things that I didn't care for.

Either way you will have a great time.

I have stayed at both. I liked CBR but was much happier with CSR. We totally enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful there. Very quiet at night.

Caribbean Beach is my least favorite moderate resort. I love Coronado. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I have stayed 2 times already.

I've got to vote for CSR. We stayed at CB once and that was enough for us. Check in the 3rd week in September (which is usually a slower time) was 50 minutes, the lines were crazy, and the building is off by itself at the front of the resort. I drove the kids over to get a bite to eat while DH waited and waited to check in. The resort seemed a lot more spread out then CSR and the pool was smaller with a very short slide. My boy, then 4 and 11 were not near as happy there as they have been twice at CSR. Just got back from a June trip and thoroughly enjoyed everything about Coronado Springs!!

We stayed CSR. It was okay. We have kids, the food court (Pepper Market), wasn't the best set-up for us. We like to pick and chose and take bits and pieces of meals back to our room. We like the flexibility of easy use of the food court micrwave for Hot chocolate at night or morning oatmeal. For that reason we'd prefer the CBR. However, bus transportation as CSR was good. I understand CBR bus service was challenging and time consuming. We just went there for a visit and could easily so why. Friends that stayed there used a rental car rather than there bus service. The CSR was quiet, relaxing and beautiful. There weren't alot of kids at the pool at night, however. We'll try POR or POFQ next time we do a moderate.

Have stayed at both more than once and have kids. Both have great themes, just different. Both have offered us excellent customer service. Both have always been very clean. We consider both very easy to navigate.

I would rank them equally. When my kids were younger POR was great and I would still go back there!!! Now that they are teen and pre-teen, they really enjoy CSR more - because of the pool/area.

Both pools are good but the slide on the CSR is bigger so they like that. I think there is also the advantage of much more seating, some under cover at CSR pool. Both playgrounds are nice, but if your child is still very young CSR is more manageable. I found the POR was for older toddlers and up. We had a toddler at CSR and I liked that the kiddie pool was close to the end of the slide and I could watch everyone. We liked the options at the CSR pool "food" bar ,but haven't tried that at POR in a long time.

We love the food court at POR but if you want something with alittle more service and variety, then CSR is good too. If you like sitdown, the POR may be more reasonable, we thought CSR was high, but it is there to cater to convention people.

Both have good recreation amenities but POR has boat to DTD if that is something you would use.

There truly are pluses at each, and I think it just depends on what theme you would like and if there is something particular that is important to you. You enjoy both equally. As you can see we have stayed at CBR and have no plans to ever return there.

Okay I am chiming in because I loved CBR.
We stayed there 3 years ago and split the stay with a deluxe. I am not kidding when I say that my dh and I agreed that after we "lost" a day moving we thought that we should have stayed at CBR the whole time. I had a corner king room in the building next to the parking lot next to the food area (sorry I cant recall it's name right now) and we had a ball there.
I stayed at CSR 4 years ago during a business trip and did not enjoy it nearly as much - okay in fairness I was there for a conference so of course my vacation trip will leave me with much fonder memories.
I guess my long point here is that I enjoyed CBR so much more than expected (and I remember being a bit worried about chosing it after reading posts here saying it's too big, pool area too crowded, etc) and then being pleasantly surprised how much I liked it. I found the bus service to be very good and the food court better than expected as well.
I would stay again at CBR without hesitation.

Another definite vote for CBR - I don't know why CBR get such a bad rap - but then again, it is like everyone says - it depends of personal preference.
With that in mind, DH and I love tropical theming and we will be staying at CBR for our fourth time. And similar to hookedup, we split a stay on our honeymoon in May of 2000 and also went to CR which we did love but believe it or not, we actually loved CBR even more (except that there is no direct route to the monorail:)
We absolutely love the tropical feel of the entire resort - from the rooms and their brightly colored walls and bedspreads to the romantically lit walkways with their gorgeous palm trees and tropical lanscaping to the funky carribean theme of the food court. I don't think anyone could go wrong if they picked the CBR for their stay - good luck with your decision!!
