I probably already know the answer to this, but should we stay at CBR or WL???? I've only stayed value, but I think we are going the week of Pop Warner in 08, so I want to stay clear of the values. (Although I love them!)

I am looking at CBR (I have wanted to stay there for a while).
I think our budget might allow for one of the cheaper deluxes (a standard room at WL, perhaps :confused3 )

We don't really care about the pools so that is not a factor!

It is just DH and I. We are not too concerned about the sit down restaurant thing because if we want to eat somewhere we will go there.

Transportation is a big factor because we don't drive once we get on property!!!!!

Thanks :goodvibes

WL hands down!

CBR is a beautiful resort.. but I would only stay there again if I had my own car.. it drove us crazy having to stop at each bus stop.. I think they have like 7 of them... you would have to go all the way around before you even left the resort.. that takes us too much of our park time.... but it was a very beautiful resort!;)

Here's a little different perspective. We stayed at WL when my DS's were 10 and 7. Then we stayed at AKL when they were 13 and 10. Next we stayed at CBR when they were 14 and 11, and back to CBR again at 16 and 13. Why? Because we all preferred CBR - honest!

We love all the beaches and hammocks and beach chairs... food court (WL has a snack bar, but CBR has a full food court), all the pools, and interestingly, the walk from our preferred location rooms at CBR were about the same distance to the food court as our room at WL were from the snack bar.

CBR has a bus stop at every village, so no room is far from the bus stop. But what we also like about CBR is that because it is more spread out, it is quieter at the rooms. Food court is loud, but the rooms are quiet!

Either way, they are beautiful resorts!

I would stay at the Wilderness Lodge. It's absolutely beautiful there. And your just a boat ride awaith from the Magic Kingdom. Which is nice because it's the most annoying park to visit from other resorts because you have to take the bus and then the ferry or monorail to get there.

That must be really recent -- both our visits to CBR and our trip to AKL as well, we took the bus directly from our resort right to Magic Kingdom -- it was really easy!:confused3

Love the WL....

You have buses....and a boat option to the contemporary for monorail
access....or a boat to M.K.
Also very romantic.

WL doesn't have a food court??? :confused3 We usually eat breakfast at the food court before we leave on check out day. Are you saying there would not be anywhere at WL to do that??? (Using a CS credit)

DH and I have stayed at both the WL (once) and the CBR (our fifth time the week after Thanksgiving). I guess you can see where this is going! While the WL is beautiful, so is the CBR. We found our room at the WL to be noisy, while the CBR is so peaceful and quiet. The WL has a counter service area where you will be able to pick up a quick breakfast but it's not nearly as nice or big as the CBR food court. The rooms are just as nice at the CBR as the WL so that really isn't a factor. Believe it or not, my DH loves the CBR because it has nicer laundry facilities than the WL!!
If transportation is a concern, the WL has the boat that can take you directly to the MK or to the CR where you can hop on the monorail. I've heard that WL buses are slow but I've never used them so maybe someone else can tell you about that. The CBR has only bus transportation.
Have fun deciding!

Yes there is a food court that serves bkfst....eggs, waffles, bacon, etc.
Counter service is accepted.
