Cbr Or Wl Cabin????

saw that great deal for cabins at wl. should i switch my ressie from cbr to that??? never stayed at wl before!! just my mom and myself!! i like the idea of more space. but i like the atmosphere of cbr. TOTALLY CONFUSED!! HELP

I think you mean the cabins at Fort Wilderness. They are lovely but I think I'd stay at CBR if it was just me and my mom traveling. If I didn't really plan on using the kitchen facility I'd prefer CBR. You might feel too isolated at the cabins. Now if you and your mom really like the camping atmosphere you can't go wrong there. So, my vote is CBR this time.

We were thinking about switching to FW cabins when we saw the great deal. Now we have decide to stay at a moderate but are trying to hold out for codes.

I can't say enough good things about the cabins. They are so nicely decorated and Ft. Wilderness really has a lush, peaceful atmosphere. The restaurant has a great buffet, really one of the last "bargain" meals left in the world, and the whole environment is just beautiful. The cabins have a wonderful kitchen and a nice bedroom -- lots more room than a regular room at the resorts.

That said, Ft. Wilderness is NOT conducive to "hurrying." You can walk to some areas within the campground, but the cabins are pretty far out from the trading posts and restaurants, and for that there are the buses. These run regularly but plan on some waiting. There is also a boat to the MK but again, accessing the boat area will probably require a bus ride.

If you enjoy nature and a place with "rustic charm," the cabins can't be beat. Fort Wilderness really is a little resort unto itself. If you are headed to the parks most of the time anyhow, and enjoy more hustle and bustle, plus access to a food court, the moderates can't be beat.
