CBR or POR

We are planning a trip for Sept. It is my husband, me, and our 2 yr. old daughter, along with my parents and 20 yr. old sister. We currently have reservations at POR but were thinking about switching to CBR. We have stayed at both but it's been a while. Which one is better?

I think it comes down to the theming of the resort. We have stayed at PO and CBR. CBR is our families favorite.

CBR does have a slightly larger room and has a curtain that divides the sink area from the room so someone could get dressed behind the curtain.

With so many folks that love each of these resorts, I fear all of the responses will not help your decision. While both have many unique qualities, both have negatives too. OK, for my vote, I would take POR (Dixie Landing) over CBR anyday. Yes, I've stayed at CBR about 4 times and Dixie Landing about 20 times (and CS once--that was enough for me). I'm sure you'll be happy at either.

Either way, I'm sure you'll enjoy your resort, but my vote is for CBR. IMHO it's the most relaxing resort in all of WDW.

Where you go, you will have a great time. They all have their plus and minus'. It all depends what you are looking for.
Did you ever consider splitting it up and staying at both? If you have time, that may be the way to go.
Whatever you choose, have a great and magical time!

CBR!
biiger rooms...and better layout...both in room and resort.....
the villages have there own pool...
the food court was recently done over....
a lot more open than POR...
playgrounds on the beach...

its an overall great resort...POR was good too...but I would definaltey go with CBR...the feeling is great...and you can see fireworks at night sometimes...

As you can see below ..POR is our favorite.

CBR has sentimental value...its where we spent our honeymoon. ( which seems like eons ago.)

What I like about CBR is the sandy beaches. It is more wide open than POR.

We have just fallen in love with POR. To us, it feels like our "summer" home away from home.

But as the other poster said...you will get too many positives and negatives about each resort that will change your mind 20 times over.

Either way...you'll have fun !!!!

I would choose CBR for theming, bright rooms, pools, beaches, Old Port Royal, boating, biking, walkways, atmosphere, landscaping and it's a relaxing resort. Enjoy!
