CBR or POR???

We stayed at POR in Magnolia Terrace (mansion building). It was very convenient to everything. POR is a beautiful, peaceful resort. My kids loved the main pool and the quiet pool. What has kept me from trying CBR is the fact that the beds are full size and that the resort is very big. I suppose POR is also large but the design doesn't make it seem as it is.

Just returned from 9 days at POR; two years ago we stayed 9 days at CBR. We've stayed in both resorts during the same week of August. I know now that I prefer CBR of POR...Busses seem to run more regularly, food court is better, and the quite pools were not packed the way they were at POR. Overall, CBR was a much happier place, at least to me.

I've stayed at both, with CBR being my most recent stay, and I have totally opposite opinion. I found the food court at CBR lacking, and I hated how many bus stops there are. 7 is 3 too many! At POR you don't spend as much time driving around the resort making stops as you do at CBR.

I'm staying at POR again in December, and I can hardly wait!:banana:

Is there an internal bus at POR?

No, but in my opinion it is not necessary. It doesn't seem as spread out as CBR does.

Agreed. We were in the last building in Magnolia Terrace and walking to get food without a stroller was completely reasonable. At CBR, there is no way that we could have walked it without a stroller. It was just too spread out. We aren't the type to complain about walking. We prefer to walk everywhere, but sometimes in a hurry you just want to run and grab coffee or a bottle of wine and doing those things quickly was just not possible from our building in CBR.

Just wanted to let you all know that we chose Port Orleans Riverside, preferred building.

So excited!!!! Thanks again for your input!:goodvibes

Thank you for your input :) Not as concerned with the pool for this trip. My DD is still too young to enjoy the big CBR pool. We are planning to just take her to the quiet pool, as it will be her first time in a real pool (she has nly been in a tiny inflatable one).

Just wanted to point out that the main pool at CBR is a zero entry pool and the pirate ship part is ankle deep with lots of little buckets of water being dumped, perfect for the first time pool experience.

We stayed at POR last December for 2 weeks and have stayed at CBR 5 times now. We loved the rooms better at POR but everything else we loved CBR much better. We have always stayed in bldg. 44 or 45 and have never had a bad experience.

Yes, there is an internal bus at CBR.

Here is some great info on POR

May I ask which building of POR you stayed in and what you thought about your room?

Sorry for the delay. We stayed in Magnolia Bend...Parterre Place...room was fine...no real difference between POR and CBR that would worth mentioning. Pretty much the same room at different resorts. Nothing to write home about tho. Grounds at POR are beautiful
