CBR or POR- Help me decide?

We've stopped at POR and it was our best trip ever. We fancy trying the CBR next year but when you compare independant reviews CBR doesn't fair very well. Has anyone stayed at both? What are the pros and cons?

I would opt for POFQ...MUCH nicer.

I've stayed at CBR a few times and loved it (although I admit it hasn't been for a few years).

But I agree that POFQ sounds great and we will be trying that for a few days next year!!

I've read some good things about Coronado Springs-might be worth a look for an alternate mod.

Coronado Springs is really nice - I would describe it as a quieter version of CBR (Its a conference resort so has a more adult feel to it - and its got a small spa type place and a really nice food court!!)

We're staying at CSR in September. We had a nosey round when we were there in december and it looks lovely. We stayed at POR then and it was very great, we loved it.

For me, there are a couple of deciding factors that put POR ahead of CBR for us (but this is just opinion - it doesn't mean you'll necessarily feel the same!):

1) the boat to DD from POR (or POFQ) is a great option
2) we prefer the food court at POR
3) the layout of the resort gives the feeling of being less spread out at POR than at CBR, and nearer for bus stops / food court, etc.
4) we prefer the theming at POR, but that's down to personal taste more than one being 'better' than the other

Having said all of that, maybe you should give CBR a try just because you haven't been there and you could come back from a return trip to POR still thinking "what if we'd gone to CBR?"

We have only stayed at POR and really liked it, we visited CBR and were glad we were not staying there. ALthough the themeing was pretty the resort was huge. They have their own internal bus to to get around, you could end up walking miles to get to the various areas of the resort.

We've stayed at CS, CBR and POR. We have booked for next year and are going back to POR, a big hit. 2nd place for us is CS, CBR comes bottom for us, just did't like the feel of it. Felt older.

Hi,

We stayed at POR on our last visit and had a fantastic time. We are going back again on 31st August, which is the same 2 weeks as our last visit. It's so quiet and relaxing and on a few of the afternoons we even had one of the quiet pools to ourselves. It gets my vote.
