We have cruised booked for 11/13 and decided last minute to go two days earlier so DH could "see" Disney. TA just called and says we have to decide QUICKLY between Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans Riverside. Any and all opinions would be much appreciated! Will be traveling with 4 and almost 2 year. Don't think pools are an issue for this time of issue but walking distance, grounds, noise, eating, etc probably would be. I know next to nothing about these except what I've read here, on eopinions and yahoo travel so anything from you experts would be great!
My clock is ticking!!

personally I like CBR but some feel it's too big(not me). I don't really care for Riverside although my son said he liked it...not as much as CBR though.

I have stayed at both and we prefer CBR. Have your agent request Jamaica as your location.

You might want to check out my pictures of CBR listed below.

definately POR FOR me- Cbr is way too big and spread out for me- but it is very pretty.

I would choose POR over CBR if your concerns are size, walking distance, noise, eating, etc. There is an internal bus system for people to get around the CBR--that says something about the size of the resort. We thought it was a long walk to everything. The grounds are beautiful. Pool small. Playgrounds nice. The size was just a turn off for us. Of course the ideal place for you would be POFQ. It is small and very easy to get around. Bus pick up is the first before POR. Food court is really good. This would be the best resort for you, but if not, I would go for POR.

We have stayed at both and much prefer POR. CBR was too big and the bus service was slow. We love POR and will be back there in just 27 days! :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc  :Pinkbounc

TA booked me at POFQ due to size, kiddie pool, intimacy and she said they had a nice makeover last year and she recommended it. So, too overwhelmed at this point to think too much for myself I just said "Okay."
Thanks for all the help and opinions--I'm pretty sure any choice at WDW is a good choice!

Um, well, should have known that went too easily! TA just called back and said reservation made a mistake entering our dates and when she went to re-enter correct ones, EVERYTHING was full. After much begging, pleading, cajoling, wrangling, etc. POR released a room for us. I head geared myself up for POFQ, but hopefully POR will be just as great for us!

You will like POR, although POFQ is better if size is your concern. POR is smaller than CBR. I have stayed at both and thought that everything in POR was walkable. CBR definately has some locations that are far from the food court, especially if you are traveling with small children. When your kids get bigger, try CBR and request a preferred location. Although I like both resorts, my last trip to CBR has made a convert. The resort is really pretty and part of the appeal is that everything is so spread out. Have fun!

I haven't tried the other moderates, but we loved POR. You can click on my profile then visit my Yahoo website to see some photos I took back in 2003. We stayed in Acadian House (the mansion section). The resort has since been renovated, but you can get a general idea of the theming. The landscaping, rooms and overall resort were truly wonderful.

Hope you have a wonderful time!
