I had originally blocked POFQ as my moderate resort for my wedding room block. Now that it's going to be closed, I can't decide which moderate to choose instead. I used to hear lots of negative things about CBR before it's refurbishment, but how is it now? Is CSR better, in your opinion? Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

There have been LOTS of good reviews of CBR since its refurb and they now have a new sitdown restaurant in addition to the food court. There have been a couple reviews on the restaurant board and were very positive. My sister stayed at CSR recently and she loved it. Found the pool to be the best on WDW property in her opinion.

Maybe contact your Disney wedding coordinator and see what they can do to help you get your ressies straightened out right away. I think if it was me, I'd pick CSR, but I prefer that southwestern/aztec theme over CBR.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice and you probably will not have a major issue getting into either one in December.

Good luck

We love CSR!!! Both resorts are similar. What type of theme would you like? CSR is a southwestern/Mexican theme. Check out pics and info at my website below.

This is the CBR FAQ thread.

Our family has stayed at both resorts. We prefer CBR because of the tropical feel. We have stayed since the refurbishment and all the rooms are great. The new food court is nice also.

I didn't like the Pepper Market at CSR because of the 10% surcharge. I didn't see where I should have to pay to be seated at a table and given my drinks. They didn't even stop back to the table. Also you need a pass to just go in and refill your mugs. It is a lot easier at CBR.

The food court is not that hard to navigate. My DD has been eating there since she was 5 (10 now) and she loves it. She feels so independent when she can go pick something out and get her card stamped.

The Pepper Market is our favorite place to eat. When you enter the Pepper Market, you will notice it's not your average food court. This is Disney's first new style, "interactive" food court on property. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. You choose your meals in a Mexican market-style set-up while walking from station to station and talking with the chefs. You are seated by a host/hostess and everyone in your party receives a ticket. The host/hostess will take your drink order. You are then free to stroll around the food areas, choose what you want to eat and receive a stamp on your ticket for each item you get. If you don't see something you like, ask because they will mix and match items for you.

At the end of the meal, you present your ticket(s) to a host/hostess and pay as you leave. 10% gratuity is charged automatically to your bill so be sure not to leave an additional tip on the table. If you feel the 10% was not deserved, speak to the host/hostess when paying and it will be removed. The Pepper Market is open 6:30am - 11pm.

Take out meals are not charged the 10%.
Check out my website below for more info on CSR and the Pepper Market, including pictures.

Have a great time!

I LOVE Coronado Springs. It is my favorite moderate. There are 3 sections (Casitas-Cabana's and Ranchos). I have stayed in all 3. The cabana's have a white sand beach near a smaller lake. They are a fairly easy walk to the main building and not far from a bus stop either. The ranchos are a bit of a hike from the main building but I really liked the design and landscape. I find this resort especially "enchanting" at night.

I also really liked the food at the Pepper Market. I didn't even mind paying the extra 10%. To me, it seems like a cut above the standard food court. I can't remember the last time I ate at a table (usually get it "to go") but I think you also get real utensils and plates (instead of paper). Made it seem more like a restaurant instead of a food court.

We have stayed at both CSR and CBR - the water slide at CBR was a big hit with my son. The food court at CSR was my favorite.
Either way you can't go wrong. They are both pretty much the same.
Have a great trip. :p
