We (DH, DD9 and I) are planning on going to WDW (5/26-6/2) using the AP Discount to book our room. We have narrowed the selection to ASMu (standard room) at $751 for the week or CBR (standard room) at $1,049 for the week. We stayed at a value (ASMo) for the first time in December for 4-nights. While we really enjoyed our stay there, I am a little concerned about the room size at ASMu for a week.

Would you upgrade to CBR for $298 more?

Does anyone know how the crowds at the parks are Memorial Day week? I was thinking if they are too crowded we might want to spring the extra money to stay at CBR in case we want to get away and relax at the resort.

Has anyone stayed at either resort recently? Are the rooms in good shape (I think they were probably renovated around the same time?) Bus service comparison?

If I choose ASMu I will probably upgrade our annual passes to premium annual passes so we can go to the water parks.

I appreciate the input and advice from my fellow DIS-ers! :)

:thumbsup2 If you can upgrade to CBR...Do it, do it, do it!!! As you can tell from my signature, we love CBR. It's totally different than the values. Yes, it's big, spread out, but we love it! It's like going to a caribbean island. We love just to spend the day there, ride bikes, surreys, the boats, pools, you name it, you can do it.

One thing though? I'd SO book whichever one you are going to do TODAY! That is a busy week/weekend, and those rooms won't last forever! HTH's!:goodvibes

Here's another vote for CBR. We just love the theme and it is so peaceful even when the resort is full. If you are going to be spending any down time at the resort, CBR is the way to go. We have never had an issue with the bus service either. Nothing against ASMu, we just prefer CBR.
