Staying at the CBR for 7 nights. Any tips on rooms/views/locations that we might like to consider?

Thanks

If you booked a water view make sure to request a view of the lake. If you booked a garden view be sure to ask for a view of a courtyard. That way you won't get a view of the parkinglot. Jamaica is the prettiest in my opinion. it is located across the lake from the food court, restaurant and shops. Here is a map.

Request a corner room and you will have an extra windo bringing in more light during the day. I request a top floor room so there is no one above me. There are no elevators here.

Hi!

We were at the CBR in June '02 and we had a water view room (of the lake) in Jamaica.

Here's why I think it was great and would be a great request for you to make:

The bus stops at the CBR (and there's lots of them) start with Jamaica.

That means that when you head out to a park in the morning, the bus thatcomes to you is empty, assuring a seat.

And when you leave a park at night and the bus is crowded and you have to stand, Jamaica is again the first stop dropping you off and you don't have to stand as long.

The quiet pool is really close to the Jamaica water view rooms too, as is the laundry.

We just loved the CBR and I am sure you will too. Remember you can see the Epcot fireworks from Parrot Cay Island (they even have picnic tables to sit at).

Enjoy!

I have stayed at CBR several times and IMHO requesting a water view is a waste of your money. We always get a King room and several times we have also been given a waterview, well you can't see the water from your room because there is a rail for the balcony that will block your view, by the way, it is not a private balcony. You can see water when you go out onto the balcony, but since it's not private, how long would you really stay out there? I would say pay the extra $ if you want a king bed, but to get a so-called "waterview", it is a big waste of money. I think requesting something like "close to bus stop or close to quiet pool is much more valuable and you won't have to pay extra if you go that route. Jamaica is a wonderful island to request as well, and building 45 in particular is right by the bridge that leads to OPR, but all Jamaica buildings are only a 4-6 min walk anyway.
