story, memory, building location, meal, sight.....
I want to stay here for the first time in November 03'with some out of town family and want to know this is a good decision. My dream would just be to stay at the Poly Concierge and not sweat it but I just can't do it. My December and January trips are already booked and paid for the bank fairy has been lacking in her department and her duties!
Anyway, would love to her your CBR info.
Thanks everybody!!

IMHO you can't beat Jamaica or the hammocks on the beach. I just love this resort!!!! Have a great trip!

Corner King room, two windows, Jamaica. Best buildings on the grounds. So pretty to look at, yellow with white trim. I love this resort. Hope you do too.:D

We've stayed at CBR a dozen times since our first trip in '91 and obviously really enjoy it. The resort is lovely, rooms are a good size and having a food court is a must for my family. DH and DS 3, 8, and 17 usually want different things to eat after getting back late from the parks. The current AP rate of $74 a night is another big plus! We don't spend much time in the room during the day and I rarely decide to spend over $200 a night per room for a Deluxe Resort. (ok, ok SOMETIMES I can justify it :)

The main pool is themed as a pirate castle with a slide, but the quiet pools (one at each village) are good sized and very close to your room. A guest laundry center is right there by each quiet pool, too. Ask for a room in one of the villages close to the food court and everything is just a short stroll away. Guest parking is close to your room and FREE; unlike the deluxe resorts.

Our last trip to WDW was on Dec. 27; two rooms at CBR. The new room decor and revamped food court were nice. Even monsoon rains on New Year's Eve couldn't spoil the trip.

We have been to WDW 33 times now and have stayed Deluxe to AllStars. For our money, CBR is a great place to stay. Nothing beats watching the Epcot fireworks above the palm trees from a relaxing hammock on the beach.

As for a special memory, on our third stay at CBR many years ago, my then 6 year old son, after watching Mickey, Goofy and Donald tooling around overhead in motorized parachutes, knelt down to feed a family of ducks passing our doorway, looked up at me with a big, gaptoothed smile and said, "I love this place. Anything can happen here!"

Don't worry, you'll have a great time at CBR. We're headed back down May 29...can't wait for school to be out!

Wow! CBR is sounding so much more interesting. My only concern about the whole thing is how much I'm gonna miss having a veranda. One of my most favorite things is sitting out on the little patio after a long hard day at the parks and reflecting on the past days events.

But please more memories~!
Please!~

If you ask for a courtyard room, this is the same price as a standard, there are chairs and tables surrounded by lush floral bushes. it is very peaceful and will make up for the veranda.

We have been to CBR more times than I care to count. We have gone with family and friends. It is just a beautiful resort and very relaxing.

Dear AllisonG,

I will be travelling to CBR in early July. If I can find this thread when I return, I will share my trip report with you!

For those who have been to CBR, I see that the buildings have second floor balconies.

I understand they are not private balconies and people must have easy access to walk to their rooms.

But would it be practical to bring a small little fold-up chair to use for a few minutes each day while I'm out on the balcony? If anyone walked by, I could quickly stand and fold the chair.

I carry the chair with me in my car everywhere I go. I was just wondering if this would be practical or if so many people walk by that I would feel like like a bouncing smilie :Pinkbounc

I certainly do want to be polite to my neighbors at CBR, so if you think this would be too intrusive, let me know. Thanks!

We absolutley LOVE cbr. We are going again May 31-june 7th, and this will be our fourth time staying here. My girls 8,7 & 3 now, love the pools and scenery, and it is so relaxing there. Its like a mini vacation.. not just another hotel. Its Beautiful!

My favorite memory my older 2 were 3 &2, and early morning they got up and went out into the patio section in their pj's. sat at the tables, and talked togehter about how pretty it was there.

I don't think it would be a problem if you used your chair on the balcony.

BTW, you can post your CBR experience in the CBR FAQ thread. It is always listed at the top of the threads on the Board in the Resort FAQ's.

I have listed the URL for the thread below.

We really like CBR too. We always stay in Martinique #24 - just a 2 minute walk to the food court, even shorter to the bus stop, and the quiet pool is next to the building.

One of our traditions/memories is after returning from all day at the parks, we walk down to the food court to refill our mugs and watch the Epcot fireworks over the tree tops.

Thanks so much! This is turning out to be a really good post!!
