Ok, this is out first trip staying on property with the kids. We have never used disney transporation as we always have a rental car. (this trip we will need to rely on disney bus system) I was wondering how difficult it will be to get to Cape May breakfast from CBR. We are going for a 10:00 reservation. :confused3

Part two of my questions is how long and difficult it will be to get to DHS after going to Capy May. Do you think it is worth the hassle or should we just do Hollywood and Vine in the parks (not so thrilled with the character lineup we have done this one twice, only good addition would be special agent Oso)

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!!

Ironically, the best way to get from CBR to Cape May will be taking the bus to DHS, then taking the boat or walking from there to BC. After breakfast, you can walk or take the boat back to DHS. It is a fairly long walk (20 minutes or so at a good pace) and the boat will take about 15 minutes, with a stop at S/D both ways, once it leaves the dock.

You could even get to DHS early to grab TSM FastPasses, then head out to the boat dock or walk to BC after that.

If you have hoppers or APs you could take the bus from CBR to Epcot, go in through the main gate, then walk through the park to the International Gateway to exit. From there Cape May will be about a 10 minute walk. The only time I might consider this is if you just missed a DHS bus at CBR and an Epcot bus pulls in right away. It is a fairly long walk through the park and, as noted, will require you to burn a park admission. As a result, it won't work without an AP or a hopper if you want to go to a park other than Epcot for the day.

Not difficult, just a little time-consuming. You'll have to take the bus to DHS and then the friendship boat (outside of the entrance to the right) to the Beach Club. It's a nice relaxing ride, but takes about 15 minutes. We love the Cape May breakfast - the characters are great, and we love seeing them in their beach clothes. Last year, Donald came up and started coloring with DS2 on his coloring sheet - he loved it! They have a nice selection of food and it's not that expensive compared to others. Then, you can just take the boat back to DHS.

You say you never use Disney Transportation because you always rent a car, so I am assuming you will have a car.
Exit CBR, take left on Buena Vista Blvd, at the second light take right onto Epcot Resrt Blvd, follow to Beach Club. 5 Minutes
After leaving Beach Club return the way you came in, when you get back to Buena Vista Blvd the Entrance to DHS will be right in front of you.

Sorry, :sad2: no we will not have a car this trip. It is our first time using disney buses, so that is why I am nervous about how difficult it will be to get to and from Cape May. :confused3

I am wondering if we should just go to Hollywood and Vine since we will be at DHS that day.

I would stick with Cape May. It is a very, very easy boat ride to get there from DHS. The kids will enjoy the boat. You catch the boat just outside the entry to DHS. After breakfast it is a nice walk back to DHS or take the boat back. If you walk, just follow the same route the boat takes.

We rarely have a car when at WDW and rely on the Disney transportation system. It works well. Don't stress about it.
