CBR-Can you say upgrade!

Went for a short trip to Disney this week(came home last night ) I had booked the CBR for 5 nights with my AP rate of $104 a night(by the way no one asked to see my AP) I had called CRO a few days before I left to request Martinique buildings 21, 22, or 23. Someone had posted these buildings were not charging the extra $15 a night. When I checked in Sat. night I asked if we were staying in Martinique and she said "Yes and you were UPGRADED!" Not only did they upgrade us to building 25 right near the main pool and Old Port Royale but also UPGRADED us to a waterview!!! We stayed in room 2557 beautiful view, we could see fireworks at night ! Any questions I would be happy to answer!

congrats!!! We stayed in building 25 our last trip too (room 2518) and highly recommend that building. I don't recall them charging extra for them back in 2003 though???

They now charge extra for buildings 23,24 and 25 closest to the main pool and Port Royale. I also think parts of North Trinidad. We had such a great time at CBR!

I am glad you had such a wonderful time.
It seems like the reviews for CBR are mixed.
My family and I are going in March.

I was wondering about the playgrounds. The ones that I have seen pictures of are the ones on the individual beaches, Jamaica, etc. Is there a separate, bigger play area on Parrot Cay?

I don't know if there is a playground on Parrot Cay,we never needed to cross over. There was a nice sandy beach near our building and I did see a playground nearby. For anyone debating a stay at CBR I would highly reccomend it!

I wish WDW would indicate which buildings they considered Preferred and Water/Pool view. It would make booking a room a lot easier - can't find anything on their website.

Trinidad North and Martinique are preferred buildings at CBR.

There are water/pool view rooms in every building.

However, if you pay for the preferred buildings of Trinidad North or Martinique, you cannot specify or pay extra for your view in those buildings. You can request it, but as we all know, requests are not guaranteed.....
