CBR, any recent guests?

Has anyone returned recently and care to share there expierence. There doesnt usually seem to be any reviews about this one that I have seen atleast. We are thinking strongly on a stay there next summer and would love to hear some recent reviews. Where did you stay at, how was the walk to the main area. I know the pool is not open yet. Did you eat at Shutters?

THere are quite a few photos of the new pool's progress....it's supposed to be finished next month. There are also lots of people that have been recently or are going recently, and lots of FAQ's too. If you don't see what you're looking for just ask, these people are big fans of CBR and so they'll probably be able to tell you what you want to know.

CBR is great ~ Beautiful grounds, white sand beaches, hammocks by the lake, Caribbean music playing quietly everywhere, a relaxing tropical feel, a beautiful bridge and island, great and huge food court, friendly CM's, double sinks in the bathroom with LOTS of storage space underneath, and the largest rooms of all the moderates! All that, PLUS a new pool. It’s like a vacation within a vacation, a “leave your worries at the door” kind of place!

Was there in March. I have stayed at POR, AKL and CBR and by far this would be my third choice going back. I didn't like the feel of the hotel. It was far too big for me. The housekeeping wasn't the greatest. Found a skittle on the tub (between the shower curtains) on day 4 of my stay. No skittles from us....

Of the hotels I have stayed at AKL is my first choice and POR would be next.

We love CBR! Having stayed at WL, AKL, and Pop, CBR is definitely our favorite!

White-sand beaches, hammocks and beach chairs, all the pools (and the new main pool sounds like it will be terrific!), the resort's own 45-acre lake with boat rentals, the 1.4-mile Promenade walkway around the lake for those who want a stroll, a run, or to ride one of the bikes or surreys you can rent at the resort, the food court with steel drum music playing.... it truly IS a vacation within your vacation!

I was just telling someone the other day that it's like getting a vacation from the hustle and bustle of the parks... some resorts are busy and hectic everywhere you go, and that's ok if that's what you want. But CBR, being spread out as it is, allows you to truly get away from the crowds and the busy-ness if you want!

All I know is that CBR is the right place for me and my two teenage sons! We can't wait to return in June!

Another CBR fan here. We had a great stay there, we just loved everything about it. I agree that it is sort of like a vacation within a vacation. I think one of the reasons you aren't seeing much in the way of recent experiences posted is that a lot of people avoided CBR these past months due to the main pool closure. Once that is up and running, I think we'll see a lot more reviews and I am betting (judging by the pictures of the pool and the other upgrades CBR is getting) they will be positive!

I think CBR is going to be even more popular once the main pool and the rethemed rooms open.

It has always been our favorite.
