Not sure what you mean by "preferred room". If you mean a water view, then you do pay more for that.
However, if you have requested a high floor or non-smoking for example, there is no charge for that. Bear in mind that these are requests only and cannot be guaranteed.
If you would like a room in a particular building or area, you can request this by fax (at least you could in 2006). You can find the fax number on this site somewhere. Again, this is only a request but on the 2 times we have done this we have been given the building that we requested. Fax them about a week before you arrive.
Not an expert on this but staying there this year so have picked up some info.
Preffered rooms are in Martinique & 1 other, these are because there are the closest to Port Royale (food court, swimming pool) so you have to pay extra. Jamaica & Aruba are not preffered, so you can either write or fax the hotel prior to arrival & just make a request. I would like Jamaica or Aruba too. We're going in August when do you go?
we go on the 23 august for 2 weeks, there will be me, my dh, ds 14 and dd 12this will be our first trip to disney and we cannot wait. i also want to stay in either aruba or jamaica, have heard the walk over the bridge to the food court is lovely and if the kids want to refill their mugs not to far to go alone.
i have cbr phone number, do you think they will allow me to request over the phone.
We go on 16 Aug so may see you. I read on the resort boards that it is best to write or fax, some people had seen their letter/fax when checking in & got their requests. I don't have numbers or address but you could ring & ask what they recommend.
