CBR and Illuminations

I read somewhere that you can see the Iluminations fireworks from CBR. Who can tell me more about that? Where can you see them from and is it a pretty good view?

We stayed at CBR in Trinidad South. We sat on the beach and watched the fireworks at MGM. From the other areas of the resort you could see illuminations. (At least the higher ones)

We stated at CBR the first few years after it opened and one of our rituals was to watch the fireworks from the beach. You can see the higher fireworks from the beach in Martinique or Old Prt Royale, looking across the water. CBR is actually almost right behind the American Pavilion in WS. When CBR first opened, you could hear the Illuminations music, even in your room with the door shut. They have toned things down a lot since then.
