We are booking for the Thanksgiving timeframe. We will have three adults and 2 kids. Last year we stayed in a 5th sleeper at POR. As little as we were in the room, it worked just fine. We loved the resort except for the long walk to refill our drinks! This year we'd like to try out having Skyliner access. We are looking at a 5th sleeper at CBR or two rooms at Pop. It's about $350 more to stay at Pop. We have never stayed at CBR, but have stayed twice at Pop. I am leaning toward Pop for the extra room and 2nd bathroom! However, I am curious as to any other feedback, as I really don't know know enough about CBR. I read a lot of mixed reviews. Does it make a big difference (travel time wise) to be at CBR with it being the Hub over the others on the line?

one thing to think about is connecting rooms are not a sure thing as you can not book that way. it is only a request and not always honored

The pool is definitely a consideration. We don't love the pools at POP because we need shade. That being said, this past Thanksgiving trip we only used it once at POR. These are shorter trips so we spend almost all day at the parks. We did one evening at the pool and it was way too chilly for me (of course not for the kids)!

We are aware that the connecting rooms is request only. The third adult is my FIL, so it won't be separating kids if we weren't connecting. It would be more of an issue if we were in entirely different sections. I guess that is still always a possibility. Hmm...

Short answer is...do you need two bathrooms?
Need? Not really. Want? Of course! lol
We shared one room this past Thanksgiving and survived. Nights were just long everyone trying to shower. The two kids are smaller so at least they don’t have long routines yet.

You have to know what is most important for your family. Will you use the pool area and the table service restaurant? Or would you be just as happy at a resort with fewer amenities?

My family always thought space was more important. Until we did a split stay starting out with one room at the Dolphin moving to two rooms at CSR. And as much as we loved the extra space, we really missed all that the Dolphin had to offer.

So really, you have to decide for you and your family, what is more important.
