We recently stayed at the YC and we LOVED the pool, proximity to HS and Epcot and being able to visit Beaches and Cream nightly :)
My dilemma in booking our next trip is
a.) save money and stay at the Caribbean Beach(it's disney so what's not to enjoy)??
b)stay at YC again
c.) for slightly more $ spring for it and stay at the Poly

I'd love to hear your feedback.

We are a family of 5, traveling with 3 children, 4, 5 and 7

My choice would be to spring for the Poly. We've stayed at CBR and Poly (and not YC, but BC) and while we loved CBR, the Poly is our favorite. The rooms are much larger than BC/YC, all rooms have a daybed, the pool is great as it backs up to the beach with a distant view of the castle (we weren't wow'd by SAB), and there are a variety of great dining options just a monorail ride away at the GF and CR (it's also convenient getting to WL for a few more dining options). It's also convenient to get to Epcot and while it's not within walking distance, it's a quick 5-7 minute walk from the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail. Good luck.

Or if you are an adventurist you could do a split stay with CBR and Poly and experience both. I do split stays all the time for just that purpose. I save money for the first few nights on a moderate then switch to a deluxe. It can be a problem with little ones but many do them.

So much about Disney is about "the magic" - that feeling you can't put a dollar value on of driving up and being told "welcome home" and the magic of the twinkling of resort lights over the many WDW lagoons. It's why all of us disnuts pay the outrageous onsite costs, and why it's worth every penny. Yacht Club holds an extremely special place in my heart - the first time I walked out and saw the boardwalk lit up after dark I could have died of happiness.

Could you save money by staying at CBR with its awesome pool and lush theming, but bussing everywhere or parking at the TTC? Yes, and you could spend all that money on food or souvenirs or parties. Even so, your children will only be at this age of wonder once. I think everything rides on a.) your financial situation and b.) how much time you spend at the resort. The reason we don't stay at YC every visit is that we actually don't spend that much time at the resort. I can enjoy multiple table service meals per day at the same price I'm saving staying at a moderate, the swan/dolphin, or offsite.

It's a very personal decision. With my touring style, I'd say CBR. My heart says YC. My tummy says spend every meal at the Poly - haha!

I second a split - I would do Yacht Club and Poly. We loved Poly - can't beat having the monorail right there (we hopped on late one night right before bed, rode Haunted Mansion, and zipped back). And I'd do Yacht Club so I could have Stormalong Bay :)

Check with the "magical" company. We got a great deal with for Poly. Good luck.

YES!! I agree with Mickeynut1! I would also go with the Poly! especially with young children, a monorail resort is wonderful! Your children will love the new pool and play areas and the monorail access to both the MK and Epcot are so convenient. The rooms are huge which is nice for a family of 5 as well.

The Poly is a favourite for many people with good reason. It is a very magical resort!
