I'd read on this board that reserving day by day is a must for these units. I followed this advice for our trip in December. It took me 2 hours to get through to MS this morning. When I finally got through, I was able to get the 3 additional nights (It's a Monday and MS is closed on weekends), but the advisor told me that I had reserved the last available unit! It is amazing that they would completely book their GV's in within the 2 hours of availability.

Congratulations. Considering there are only 7 GV's at the BWV it's not that surprising.

It must be your lucky day...maybe you better go buy a lottery ticket! :)

I didn't realize that there are only 7. It sounds like they should have built a few more.

Wow! That is fast! Of course - it is that early December that is so popular. I know if I was going to go for a GV, it would only be then and only be the weekdays!

It certainly was busy today!! I was trying to make a simple 2 day ressie for May and kept getting that busy signal until 2 in the afternoon. I wasn't trying too hard but here and there though out the day. Do you think that if they had hours on the weekends (or at least Saturday) it would balance out the load a little?

That is what we did last year for our trip last month. By the way, I would put in a request with MS for a 1 story GV. We had one of the 2 two story ones and were slightly disappointed. We have been in one of the 1 story GV so were hoping but it didn't happen. We had 5045 and of all the times we have stayed at the BWV this was the first time we had issues with the condition of the room. It certainly didn't ruin our trip as we had a great time. The 2 story GVs do not have a balcony off the master bedroom or one of the bdrs upstairs. There is no separate laundry room, and the washer dryer are upstairs. The 1 story GVs have a huge laundry room. There was dirt and a used water bottle under the fold out couch, which we had a couple using so we had housekeeping up for that. In addition, there a couple of tears in the master bedroom wallpaper all the way down to the drywall. There was a rail missing from the bottom shelf in the fridge, as well, so you couldn't use it. The kitchen was smaller also than the 1 story. In fact, it had less storage than the 1bdr kitchens. There was also a big cobweb on the chandelier over the dining room table. Nothing major but somewhat disappointed for our first GV stay.
