Cats cause Illiteracy

Here is my thoughts: Every time I go to read a book one of my cats jumps up onto my chest and blocks the book. Or they rub against the book causing it to jump around. This prevents me from reading. What if this is happening to kids who are trying to learn for the first time? Cats are causing Illiteracy! Down with Cats!!

I believe with a bit more research you could prove this theory. I also think you should expand your statement to include mathematics. My second-grader would much rather chase and "goo-goo" the kitten than work on subtraction. So much so that the little cat gets put in a bathroom during homework time.

I had to put my cat in the basement last night so my second grader could finish his homework too. Darn cats.
