Cats and Dogs.

So, after a long conversation with my dad in the car this morning, I've come to realize there are two types of people in this world. Cat people and Dog people.

Dogs are lovable, friendly, happy-go-lucky, and they need you.
Cats are quiet, reserved, and are only around because they like you.

People who really like dogs and want dogs are the kind of people who need to be needed. A dog needs you. It wouldn't be happy without you.

People who really like and want cats don't need to be needed. They just want to be wanted.

I've been thinking a lot about it, and these descriptions really really fit into 99.99999% of the aspects of my life. I don't like dogs. Dogs are too eager to please and overly energetic and needy for me. I like cats. My cats and I just coexist with the occasional pleasant run-in. They don't need me to survive. They just like me, so they stay.

I think these descriptions even fit into human relationships. I don't need a boyfriend to be happy, but I like having one. I don't need someone needing me, but I like someone liking me. I can't handle needy people.

So thats just an observation that I deemed thread-worthy. so are you a cat or a dog person?

Cats are cute but I am a dog person all the way. I love all animals but dogs have a special place in my heart.

In terms of looks, or just playing with, I love dogs and cats.

But when you put it the way you did, I think I am more of a cat person. My cat is so sweet, I go out there and he sits on my lap and meows and purrs and I love him to death. I sound like a crazy cat lady now, but he's amazing and one of the bets pets I've ever had.

I like dogs, but I just get kind of annoyed when they yip or bark so much, and I don't like them jumping on you. If it's a calm sweet dog I'll like it. Same goes for cats, if it's a mean scratchy cat I'll hate it. If it's a sweet cat I'll love it. It all depends on the animal for me. I get what you mean though, with just having the cats there when you want to be with them and they like you.

I love dogs, i love the fact that they're needy, dependant and eager to please it makes me feel wanted. At the same time i'm sort of a cat person, i don't need a dog and i don't need someone to need me i just like having that.

Cat person here. Ah yes, my two kitties are so cute, I really love them, though they are urinating-machines, so they can't come into the house, that makes them even more affectionate (sp?) and lovable. Dogs are awesome, but I guess they are just too energetic, I'm mostly calm like a cat.

I think i'm more a dog person but then again i'm a little like a cat person.

I'm both really.

Both in terms of personality, and the animals themselves.

I'm both quiet and reserved, and friendly and happy-go-lucky at times.
And I could neeevvverrr ever in a million years choose between cats and dogs.
I've had 2 dogs and 3 cats. (currently have 1 dog & 1 cat) and I love both of their personalities.
My cat is totally non chalant and he's got a serious attitude, but when he comes and cuddles up with me it's the best thing everr.
And my dog is just a puppy and he's soooo hyper and needy and sometimes it's too much, but he's awesome

Sooo yeah, I'm definitley both.
I like to be needed, and i like to feel wanted.
cats + dogs = caitlin.

My parents got her before they had me. Lol.

I have this weird thing against cats....I just reaaaally dislike them and I don't know why. Maybe it's the smell.

I hate dogs.. I would hate to have one anyways.
For some reason theres this weird smell when you touch them, and it stays on your hands. *BLECH*

But it just isn't there either.
