Who’s Who

Me – Cath, 32
DH – Tony, 34
DS1 – Anthony 4 years, 10 months
DS2 – Christopher, 3 years 11 months

We shared a villa with the McCusker Family - Ann Marie, my cousin, Her DH Michael, and their kids John, Michael and Gerard, ages 11, 9 and 6

Epcot today – and everyone ( well, just me really…..) clinging to the hope of getting to ride Mission: Space

We get to the car park – and strangely enough it rather quiet!!

Once inside we head straight to Test Track to get some FP’s, time slot in 40 minutes so we head back to Spaceship Earth, and en-route I spot some important looking CM’s – they had clipboards and were not wearing any type of uniform, so I assumed they were important. I ask if Mission: Space might be opening today – and the kind man told me there would probably be a soft opening at 4pm. WOW!!!
We get to Spaceship Earth – kids kept calling it Spaceship Planet Earth!!

I really like this ride apart from the smell during the Dark Ages!!!!!
Then we head to TestTrack – kids are going on, and it is DH’s first time on it too!! (been unlucky on previous trips….and bit of a sore subject……LOL)

DS2 loves it, DS1 does not. He didn’t like the bit with the fire and the water. I think it’s brill!!!
We come off and immediately get another FP for later on!! Then we head into Body Wars and Cranium Command. I had never done Cranium Command before – it’s a scream, especially the two Germans pumping the heart!

We stop and have a snack and drinks, then head back to Test Track for our FP’s slot.
Innoventions next, and a visit to Ice Station Cool……….The kids were helping themselves with the wee cups to the drinks – some went down better than others!!

A look round Mouse Gear for some shopping - DS2 fancied a Woody hat.

Headed into The Land where we were meeting the others for lunch. We eat in the Food court and have the usually fayre – chicken, macaroni etc etc. Go on Living with the Land. By the time we come off it is after 3pm – maybe we should head over to Mission:Space…..

We get there and there is a few people hanging around. It’s hot, with very little shaded bits. Kids fall asleep - and we wait…..more people arrive…..by 4pm we can see CM’s just inside…….I am so excited……then a CM comes forward to the black boarding – cousin’s DH has taken their boys to the loo, so I leave DH with our DS’s, and we go and wait. I do feel guilty at leaving DH behind – he might not get to ride later!! We wait for about another 10 or 15 minutes, then he opens the gate. Everyone was so excited – some had already been on before and were trying to describe it to others. We all pour in – it smells so new!! We walk quickly past most of the queuing areas and then into an area with a large wheel…… A CM’s shouts for a party of 2….so we go forward. I’m beginning to feel nervous as we are shown where to stand – numbered rows, then we move to outside the ride ‘cabins’. Inside they are really small – shoulder restraints and small screen in front of you.

Then it’s go go go………it was amazing – I could feel my cheeks moving!!

We came off and DH and cousin’s DH had time to have a go – they loved it too.

What a day – we decided to head for home – we were tired and worn out.

We get to the villa and spend about 2 hours in the pool – then get some pizza for dinner. Early to bed………..

Really looking forward to trying MS in October :) Glad you had fun.
