Make it to AK for just after 9, we skip breakfast in the villa, and decide we’ll have breakfast in the park. It all seems very quiet today!! Kids are asking about It’s Tough to Be a Bug – I’m not sure – they’re not very good with bugs!!! :bitelip: But no, they insist they want to go. Straight in, no wait. I had never done this before myself, so I’m a little apprehensive about things!!! I did NOT like the bit with the things at your feet, or the spiders from the ceiling!! Kids were not that amused by it either. We head over to the safari, decide to get a FP, then we could have some breakfast, and then ride the safari. We go into Tusker House. We have 2 breakfast platters to share between 4. This proved to be more than enough. The platter had scrambled eggs, home fries, sausage and one of those scone biscuit things, which Christopher LOVES! $5.29 each. The food was nice and tasty. Filling too! Finished just in nice time for the Safari.

WOW! This had to be the best Safari we’d done for seeing the animals. They were all out and about – and very close up!!!!!! We even saw a baby elephant!!!

Safari over we head over to Camp Minnie-Mickey, where we meet Donald Duck and Minnie Mouse before going into The Lion King.

This was a first for us – so I was a bit excited. It was amazing!!! So colourful and the music was great!!! Kids were clapping and singing – they really had a look of awe of awe on their faces!!!
We came out of the show and decided we’d have a look in DinoLand USA before heading home. On the way there we find Lilo and Stitch!!!

Lilo took a great interest in Anthony's Yu-Gi-Oh Cards he had in a tin around his neck!!!! He thought this was hilarious!!

They were great fun with all the kids in the line - and noone was rushed through.

Kids spent around 30 minutes in the dig site, and then it was time to go. We stop on the way out to pick up our photo of the boys, holding Simba!! It’s so cute! We get to the villa, I change my shoes because my feet are killing me, but then need to change the whole ensemble because the shoes now don’t match what I’m wearing!! We get back out eventually then head out to Downtown Disney. I can’t believe we’ve been here over a week and not been to DTD!!! When we arrive the boys are keen to get to the Lego shop. It’s all been changed – seems much more airy – and I LOVE the section on one of the walls where you can take a wee tub and fill it with all different bits of ordinary lego!! So cool!!! Anthony decides to spend some of his money on some new Star Wars Lego – one with light-sabres that actually light up. Think it was $29.99. Christopher opts for a much smaller Harry Potter set $6.99. We decide to leave World of Disney to the end, and browse some of the other shop. I’m disappointed to find that Disney at Home is no longer with us!!! That was one of my favourite shops too!!! We didn’t really buy much until we got the World of Disney. We spent a small fortune – and got the free print. Tummies were rumbling, so where do we eat tonight?? It’s not too difficult to decide on Chilis!! Shanghai wings are top of the list, as to were the bottomless Chips!! We were really hungry – hadn’t eaten since breakfast at Tusker House around 8 hours ago!!! I had a steak with the loaded mash, Tony had Fajitas, kids had old faithful – Mac n Cheese  . I have yet another yummy cocktail – a Presidente Margarita. Came with it’s own take home cocktail shaker!! The Shanghai wings were lovely – BUT, after now having tasted both the Shanghai and Buffalo, I do prefer the Buffalo wings!!!!
Home to Emerald Island once more. I feel really tired tonight so we give the cards and accompanying beverages a miss and head off to bed early.

Oh dear me Cath, another Trip Report I will have to hope Jon doesn't see!!

Tusker House is great! I can't beleive this was your first time at seeing FOTLK. Did you find it as good as it had been hyped up to be?

Great report, great photographs :)
The boys interaction with the characters is what Disney is all about :goodvibes

great report and great photos, I LOVE FOTLK its my favourite show :earsgirl:

Lovely day Cath:)

DH was just looking at Star Wars lego the other day:rolleyes: after buying himself a Darth Tater. I will be sure to avoid the shop in DTD;)

Thanks Cath, loved the picture of Christopher on the safari ride, made me smile. :)

Enjoyed reading about your day at Animal Kingdom and DTD. Surely the smile on Christopher's face (on safari) must be the maximum smile. Too cute. And how nice that both boys got to spend some time and have fun with Lilo and Stitch.
And what do you mean no more Disney at Home?! Please, say you're kidding.

We loved FOTLK as well. Sounds like we'll have to try Tuskers next time. :cool1: Another great report :wave2:

(And I'm still having probs with my pics - the auto resizing keeps cutting younger DS out of the pics! :confused3 )
