Catholic Church Near Universal

What is the closest Catholic church to Universal?

I wasn't sure. but there is a website, www.masstimes.org. I put in the zip code for Universal, 32819, and it gave me a list with how far they were from the location. Not knowing the area, it wasn't all that helpful, but if you use mapquest, it might help to locate them. The first 2 churches listed were Byzantine and Maronite rite churches. the next Roman Catholic closest was Holy Family - http://www.holyfamilyorlando.org/. Maybe someone who has actually been there can answer better - I'm afraid we are bad Catholics who often skip Mass when we are on vacation

Thanks for the information. I tried to search masstimes.org but didn't put in the zipcode. Has anyone driven to Holy Family or Mary Queen of the Universe from the RPR?

I think MQU is supposed to be the closest. You can e-mail the concierge at RPR and get the official information. I think the e-mail address is rprconcierge@loewshotels.com. I will double check that and confirm.

There is a map on the Holy Family website that shows its location and mary Queen of the Universe. It also shows Disney and Seaworld, but not Universal, so it is hard to tell from that which is closer.

The St Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church at

5135 Sand Lake Road, RT 482,
Orlando, Florida 32819

is - I believe - the closest to US - even has same zip code.

about 2-3 miles east of Kirkman on Sand Lake. Car will be needed.

As said I really do not know if it is the closest but probably the easiest to get to. There may be another church north on Kirkman.
