Catfish at Garden Grill?

We have the GG booked for our arrival night dinner and I was looking at the menus a couple days ago. I noticed that the updated menu on the Dis says "catfish" but the older Allears menu says "seasonal fish of the day" as does the official Disney website. Anyone been there recently that can confirm what they're serving now? My son LOVES catfish, although he does eat just about anything so it's not a big deal if it's something else.

If it's still Sustainable Fish of the Day and they havent' changed it back to Catfish and only Catfish, they will change the fish so there's no guarantee the fish someone reported getting would be the same fish you'd get on a future visit.

Thanks for the link but that is the menu I was referring to that says catfish, not "fish of the day."

The menu was updated in March, 2010.

When we ate at GG we were expecting basic Southern Fried Catfish
(which is lightly battered with a cornmeal coating) but the catfish was cooked more like Chicken Fried Steak (very thick peppery coating--could not taste the fish at all) which for us is very unappealing and it was not good.

Hopefully they have changed this cooking method for a better one.
We went a couple of years ago and have not returned because
of the fish.

I noticed that too which is why I was asking for confirmation from someone who has been recently...I've seen supposedly "updated" menus on Allears for instance that still insist there are potatoes on the menu at Ohana when we all know it's been noodles for quite some time. I was hoping for some confirmation that the menu might be correct....

In all our trips and visits to this restaurant, we have only ever been served catfish! I've never gotten anything else and I have been there at different times of the year!

My DS loved the fried catfish, it is the main reason we go there. Last summer there was no catfish, it was the sustainable fish - on the night we were there it was breaded Mahi Mahi, it was very good. But we missed the fried catfish.
