Catering at SSR

We reserved a GV at SSR for our DD's Disney Fairy Tale Wedding. We plan on having a small welcome party at the GV and would like to have it catered. Nothing too big, just some sort of hors d'oevres and maybe a dessert tray.

Due to the fact that SSR doesn't have a full service restaurant, our DD's event manager is having a bit of a hard time finding someone onsite to cater it. She was surprised that SSR doesn't have a restaurant that could do that and is still looking into it for us.

Just wondered if anyone else ran into this, and who they used.

The Turf Club at SSR is being converted to a full service resturant and should be completed soon.

Apparently although the Turf Club will be full service, it still won't be able to do anything like that. I got the impression that the restaurant will be sort of a hybrid.

Any suggestions?

We catered from an offsite restaurant (Friday's, Olive Garden, etc). There's an Olive Garden right by the Crossroads which is about 5m away from SSR.

I would also suggest Goodings in the Crossroads. They have an extensive bakery and deli and it is very close to SRR?

Will you have a car with you? I know they deliver bakery items so they would probably deliver this also if you need them to. They could also do any floral if you need it for the tables.
