Category A Room at the Dolphin

Does anyone know what a Category A Room is at the Dolphin?

We have booked Lake View, but on the invoice from the Dolphin it states Category A Room guaranteed and also Guaranteed A Balcony (which is news to me! ). I would love a newly renovated room so maybe we're in with a chance as we don't go until September.

Any clues anyone?

This is what I got officially
Category "A", is "Resort View w/ Balcony"...
B - Resort View
C - Lake View
D - Standard View

WOW!!!! What a surprise that is! Thanks so much for finding out for me, Glo!

When I rang to book I was given a Lake View for the price of a standard View (DC rate) so I was pretty pleased with that anyway.

I guess it is our newly-acquired Gold SPG membership which has pushed us to the top of the list! It is the first time I've ever had ANY special requests guaranteed, so it's good to know that our Balcony is ready and waiting for us!

This trip will be all the more special to us, as we have had to cancel not one, but two Xmas trips due to ill health, in the past two years. We won't give up though, and are going to try for third time lucky in September! Our last visit to the Dolphin was May 99 so it's been a long time coming!
