category 9 rooms

We stayed in a category 9, deck 1, room 1036. We liked our room. We had some noise but not constant and not during the night. We are light sleepers and this was never a problem. We have stayed in a category 6 veranda and the size of the two rooms are about the same minus the veranda. Our room had two small portholes which were just fine with us. If we weren't able to afford the veranda next time I would definitely consider a category 9 again. Its a nice room for the money. No matter what room you will have an amazing time.

That's one advantage IMO that a cat. 9, deck 2 has over a cat. 9, deck 1 - HUGE (3 ft. diameter) porthole, instead of the two little (12 in. diameter) ones.

We had 2030 and 2032 - right under the nightclubs and on the "noisy rooms" list. I listened hard to hear the expected loud music- either my hearing is going or it's quiet. I did a search before I booked those rooms and others agreed that it is not loud.
