Category 9, Deck 2, mid-ship - What should we expect?

On the Wonder and Magic, cabins which accommodate four people are far forward, and aft. Midship will not accommodate four as there are no pulldown berths.

I've sailed in 2618 and 2616, and would do so again as these are aft, and I prefer aft on all cruise ships. (Food is usually aft and straight up on cruises, and I don't use elevators--unless its got 19 decks and I'm down on deck 2 or 3!) It is also pretty quiet back there without a lot of foot traffic.

The Disney ships are "old" by cruise ship standards, and all ships make noise. You will always hear whistling and humming, and occasional thuds and banging. They're moving hotel rooms. Because of this I always travel with earplugs. Occasionally you will also hear the waves--this can be disconcerting but is quite normal.

We love Deck 2 on this ship for short cruises with the large window, and with the three night cruise you probably will not be in your cabin long enough to notice any issues. The Disney ships are pretty quiet after 11pm too.

Also, on DCL, Category 5, 6, and 7 are the exact same cabins at 268 square feet, but in different locations on the ship and the Cat 7 has an Enclosed verandah and only accommodates three people (there is no pulldown berth.) Categories 8, 9, and 10 have the same square footage at 214, but Cat 10 has NO window(with the exception of the "secret porthole cabins on Deck 5.)

Category 9 cabins on Deck 1 have two small porthole windows rather than the large window on Deck 2. There are no passenger cabins below water but you can often hear waves when you are staying on Deck 1 and 2 if the seas are rough.

Hope this helps.
