We have a cabin on the starboard side of the ship. I know to be away from the laundry room but does anyone have any thoughts on good/bad areas of that deck so I know where to shoot for? Thanks!

I was in 6548 - starboard side, midship (deck 6, under the forward "stack"). Thought it was perfect - convenient to stairs, but not close enough to them to get alot of traffic.

We were in 6550, close to elevators, just had to run down one flight of steps & the kids clubs were right there.

Never heard any noise from the elevators. We have this room booked for May 2006 as well!!!

My family was in 6542, 6544, and 6546 back in March. We loved the location (and have booked the same rooms for our cruise in Dec. '05). I really liked the fact that you could use either the misdhip or forward elevators/stairs without having to go very far either way. Also, I think that not as many people walk past the cabins in this "inbetween" area as would walk by you if you were behind the midship elevators.

Just my $.02...

6060 for us! loved it sooo much we rebooked it for 2006-it was taken for 2005. walk out the door turned left two steps, turn right there were the stairs and elevators. directly down was oceaneers lab and directly up 3 flights took you right to the goofy pool and arcade. first time cruisers so midship was perfect.

Anyone ever stayed in 6594?? Just curious of the noise level there - its not too far from Laundry.

Thanks in advance!

We loved the location of our cabin on the Magic, cabin #6042, and we just rebooked that same cabin for a Special Western cruise in August 2006 :) We booked the inside cabin across the hall from ours, cabin #6043, for our DSs :)

thanks everyone!
I checked the 2003 Passporter and it says my cabin only sleeps 3, however, DU allowed me to book 4 people. I looked up the cabin I stayed in on our 2002 cruise and it said it only slept 3 as well, which I know is not true... Anyone know how to absolutely tell how many people a cabin sleeps?

If they let you book it then it holds 4. That passporter is never right when it comes to number of people in the rooms!
My favorite rooms are the ones aft. You can run up the stairs to the buffet and bring it down and have a nice breakfast on your verandah. Plus its always so quiet back there!
