Hi
I was wondering the cost difference for a Cat 3 compared to 2 balcony cabins.
We have 2 cabins booked for 3 adults , 1 child and an infant for Jan and are waitlisted for a Cat 3. but i am wondering if it is worth it...
Right now we are paying $4200 for a 4 day cruise..... could someone fill me in if they know the approximate cost difference? DCL wasn't very helpful as they were unable to quote for a cabin that was not available.
Thanks

I can't quote on your exact situation, but we had 3 adults and 2 children booked in one category 4 stateroom. We paid an additional $1500 for an upgrade to a category 3. Hope that helps.

Not sure if this helps much, but our Cat. 3 for the 4-day Wonder was right at $3900, but for 2 adults and 1 child. Also in Sept which if a cheaper time of the year to cruise.

We were 2 adults, 2 children, and 1 infant. Booked a cat 4 while waitlisted for cat 3. When the cat 3 came through, it was about 25% more than cat 4. (well worth it too!) This was for the Magic 7 day Mexican Riviera trip this past June. Just playing around with online quotes for our summer 2006 trip, two cat 6 was within a couple $100 for our Cat 3 trip that we currently have booked. Again, this is for our mix of 2A, 2C, and 1 under 3. So for us to book 2 cat 6 means we are paying for the 2C as Adults. For us right now, cat 3 makes sense. This may change when the two 2C become 2A and the infant becomes a C. :teeth:

For our Oct. 2006 4 night Wonder cruise it is about $1000 more than a Cat. 4 would be for our family of 5- 2 adults and 3 DDs.
