For those of you that have stayed in a cat three will you please answer a few simple questions?

1. What supplies does the wet bar have? Glasses? Ice Bucket? Refridgerator?

2. Robes and slippers? Are these used and we leave them when we leave? Are they new and we get to keep them?

3. Conceirge? I know that they will assist us with reservations, ie Palo, spa, etc. What do they do day to day? (Are they our stateroom hostess and will they receive that tip?)

4. Anything that I need to know about that I haven't asked?

This is all very to new to us and I wouldn't want to embarass myself.

Thanks!::MinnieMo

Ok....I don't know if I can answer all of these corectly but I will try. We are in a Cat.3 for the first time in about a week and a half!

Ok...as in all the rooms, there are glasses for you to use. When you ask for ice, they will bring you an ice bucket. As far as a fridge...it's really not a fridge. It's a cold box. It does not get your things as cold as a fridge. What we do is put some ice in a bag and place it in with our drinks..it gets them really cold then.

As far as robes....I think they are used....but not totally sure. I don't think they offer slippers. You can take the robe with you, but you will be charged a fee of I think 99.00 It really is a nice robe. I saw it the gift shop. If you really want one, I would get one in the gift shop, that way you know it is new. ;)

They do assist you in reservations....for PALO, SPA, and excursions. I have heard stories and disney has told me that they will call you a few weeks before your cruise so you can make your PALO ressies but THEY DO NOT CALL YOU!! You have to call a special number and make them.

If you have kids, they will help you check into the kids clubs too.

As far as excursions....you can book them 60 days from your sail date. If you really want a popular excursion...like parasailing at Castaway Cay. I would recommend booking them yourself. It's very simple. You jsut call Disney, give them your reservation number and tell them what you want.

I have heard they give you little gifts and treats in your room daily and will call you or stop by to see if you need anything.

You do not tip the conceirge! You will have a room host or hostess and you tip them.

Hmm If there is anything else, don't hessitate to ask! If you would like, I will be taking pictures of the Cat. 3 and I will share them with you when we return.

Drop me an email at travis.mm@verizon.net and I will be sure to send them to you when we return.

Have a great cruise and HAPPY PLANNING!

Travis

We are scheduled for room 8048 in Oct on Wonder. I'd be very interested in hearing your report. What room? Thanks.

1. What supplies does the wet bar have? Glasses? Ice Bucket? Refridgerator?

There is a 6 pack of assorted soda free... the rest of it you pay for.

There are glasses and an ice bucket. The stateroom hostess will refill it for you daily. There was some type of treat delivered to us daily.. cookies, fruits, etc...

2. Robes and slippers? Are these used and we leave them when we leave? Are they new and we get to keep them?

They are in the closet, and they will charge you for them if they are gone when you leave.

3. Conceirge? I know that they will assist us with reservations, ie Palo, spa, etc. What do they do day to day? (Are they our stateroom hostess and will they receive that tip?)

They can get all your ressies for you, and they call every day to ask if you need anything. They are NOT the hostess, they are usually found near the guest services area.

4. Anything that I need to know about that I haven't asked?

Nope.

I found the concierge staff to be very helpful. They can get you anything from hair appts., spa reservations, bridge/galley tours, tickets for tea with Wendy and your kids checked into the kids club all with checking in to one area. You can also check in at the port in a special area, and not have to wait to board in the long line. We just got back from the 8/7 cruise, and we had four sodas and two bottles of water in our room waiting for us, plus a bowl of fruit. Each night the concierge came by and left something -- a plate of sandwiches, cookies, etc. They also left coloring books and colors for the kids. When I wanted a Christmas ornament signed by the captain, they took it so I didn't have to wait in line at the gift shop. I also had them get the special lithograph for the San Juan cruise signed by the three characters on it, all done by the concierge. They also decorated the door of our suite for my birthday, and left a special lithograph (of Animator's Palate) on our bed the last night.

The robes in the closet were freshley laundered and the slippers came in plastic cases. I'm sure they had been used before, but they were clean.

I would highly recommend taking advantage of all of these services. There has to be a reason for paying all the extra money.

Have a great trip!
