Catalog DVD preorder question?

Does anyone have any experience with preordering a dvd from the catalog? My local Disney Store is in the midst of an "experiment" where they do not give lithos as a GWP for a preordered movie. I LOVE Lilo and Stitch and would like the lithos, but am impatient enough to not want to wait longer for the DVD itself.

How long past the release date does it take for the movie to arrive, or does it come on the release date? Help me learned people!

I've preordered once before from the catalog, and am currently waiting on the Monsters Inc and B&B disks. The lithos (and other free gifts) ship with the DVDs you don't get those in advance. They ship the stuff on the release date, so it's up to your PO how quickly you get it past that point.

You can always go on-line and purchase. We did that for B&B and will get the lithos too.

Wait until the pre-order for TDS is announced, your TDS may not continue to be a test store for the lithos. My store is in the same boat - no lithos for Monsters or B&B - but no-one has heard anything about L&S yet. You've got nothing to lose by waiting until TDS starts pre-selling. If your store doesn't have the lithos again, then you can resort to the catalog or online.

Our DS has a $10 Gift Card, but no lithos. The online DS has lithos and no Gift Card. Do I have that right?

You are correct, Robinb. But my DS has the free lithos and the $10 gift card.
