Cat T Dream vs Wonder

Hi All,

I am currently booked this February on the Wonder, and am contemplating attempting a port upgrade to a Cat T room. I got super lucky on our last cruise (3 years ago) on the Dream and was able to upgrade from a VGT to a Cat T.

However, I am noticing that the Cat T rooms on the Wonder are laid out a bit differently. It appears in most rooms, the wall bed is actually IN the master bedroom, instead of in the living room (like on the Dream). I think there are a few rooms (turned sideways, around the elevators) that are like the Dream. Does anyone have firsthand experience with this? We are a family of four, and if I am going to pay to upgrade, I REALLY don't want one of my kids sleeping in the same room as me. Thanks for the help.

I'm going on a cruise with family this summer on the Magic and felt the same way. I believe there are only 4 or so which have the Murphy bed in the living room (8532, 8032, 8534, 8034) so if you're upgrading at the port it might be a gamble.

We have stayed in the cat T on the Wonder - in both the midship and the regular ones. You are correct - the Murphy bed in the midship ones is in the living area and it is in the master bedroom in the other ones (unless this changed during dry dock). We are a family of 5, so needed the Murphy bed. Are your kids able to share the full size pull out couch and not use the Murphy bed? I know as my kids got older they didn't like to do this but they were fine when they were younger.

We much prefer the midship rooms as the balcony is wider too, however they are the most popular and seem to book up pretty quickly.

Good luck, enjoy your cruise!

Thanks - both - for your help. My kids will probably be okay for another year sharing a full size pull out, but it is a little disappointing. They tend to sleep better in their own beds. It will all come down to a game time decision. Thanks so much.

We have been in both room types and find the Dream layout much better for us but that being said................the cat T rooms on the dream are usually much more than the 1 br on the Wonder or Magic.

Good Luck

Do you know if on the Wonder the verandah walls can be moved back so you can see more of a view or are they fixed?

We just got off 8534 on the magic and the living area and bedroom are bigger than the 1br on the larger ships. The downside is that those 4 rooms on the magic and wonder are right below the pool deck.

Thanks for the heads up. Did you really feel like it was a major disadvantage being right below the pool deck? We don't have kids that nap, will probably go to bed about 10 or 11pm and be up by 7 or 8am. I appreciate you sharing your experience.
