Near the end of this Japanese video, the owner of this home discovers her pet cat!

I wish I could understand what they're saying. The only word I know is "neko" which is "cat". The woman starts saying "neko" as soon as she hears the meowing. :goodvibes

Amazing, he/she just used one of her 9 lives. Thanks for posting, it really made me smile.

OMG! That looks like my own kitty! Except mine doesn't have a collar. I am getting all misty-eyed at the thought of possibly losing her and then finding her alive.

My cat was even getting all freaked out at hearing the other kitty.

YAY for the cat !!!!!!!! Watching this video took my breath away . Such a reminder of what happened here , but then remember it is on a much larger scale. I have donated money to the Red Cross, but think I need to find room in budget to help the animals too.

I saw on the news, the camera panned around to show some of the rubble. They happened upon two dogs. One was wounded and just laying there. :sad1: And his buddy never left his side, even when he saw people. He didn't even make a sound. If it wasn't for the fact that he moved, he wouldn't have stuck out from all the chaos & rubble.

They were able to get both dogs to an animal care center, and patch up the wounded dog and give meds. Both dogs are doing fine.

Darn you! Now I'm crying! At least they're happy tears. Thank you for sharing this. I am totally stealing it for my Facebook.

Thank you so much for sharing that. I saw the video footage of the dogs, but never heard the outcome. I have been thinking about them all day.

That video of the dogs was unbelievable! When the one dog put it's "paw" around the injured one. It's unimaginable looking at the destruction and how they ever survived in the first place. The story they could tell....

I saw the cat video on Facebook earlier and it made me cry. I just watched the dog one and had the same reaction. I just played both for my DD and my cat was sleeping behind my monitor. When he heard the kitty meow he popped his head over looking for the kitty. He is a Japanese Bobtail, so maybe he understands Japanese Meows :rotfl:.

I have a number of local and international causes tugging at my heart right now. I need to sit down and decide how much I can give and divvy it up.

That poor cat looked terrified. I'm so glad he was found.

I started a thread about the dogs, you're all discussing, before I saw this thread.

That was so sad to watch. I am glad that the cat survived the tsunami. I have two cats and if anything ever happened to them I would be very sad. Just makes me want to go cuddle my cats.

That cat definitely had something to say about it. I'm so glad that the kitty survived. :)
