Lightning lane modifications

We are a party of 9 attending HS later this week. When booking LLs, 2 of the 9 requested I book Millenium Falcon while 7 wanted Slinky Dog. SD is booked for first thing in the morning, MFR is booked later in the day. After scanning into SD, can we modify the MFR to add the other 7? We had a similar situation yesterday at Epcot - 2 people held LLs for Remys , and after riding the first ride, we were trying search for Remys for the other 7, but it wasn’t coming up as an option. It was showing as already chosen, even though it was only for 2 people. So last night I wondered, perhaps I should have attempted to modify the existing reservation to add everyone else, once eligible to make another selection.

It’s likely to be sold out same day, or late times available.

Yes, you will have to hit modify then click the extra members of your group. As another poster said, SD, MF and Remy are all rides that book LL rather quickly. To find same day availability is tough, although not impossible. We are a family of 4 and have to continually refresh to try to find new availability. (There is a website that shows you times of same day releases, fyi). Even for 4 sometimes we click and it is gone by the time we get to the next screen. Getting it for 7 on those rides is tough in general. Also, when you first hit modify it is showing you the availability for the ones that are already booked, so let's say 2 spots. You then add another 7 and then it shows no availability bc it only had 2 spots available. Not sure if that makes sense/helps!
