My cat has been throwing up meals for years now. She is not overfed and there is no competition for her food (it is in the basement and the dog can't go down there). She has some pretty bad dandruff/skin flaking as well.

I had her at the vet last night and he told me he suspects a food allergy and would like to switch her to an all fish product source. Does anyone have any suggestions? He said that we could find some good ones over the counter, but I didn't see any at the pet store, they all had chicken in them.

I am looking for a dry food as everytime we give her wet she throws up. I (as well as the vet) would like to avoid doing a prescription food until we can isolate the source of the probem

I used to do organic and USDA approve and all that jazz but my cat threw up ALLLLL the time, so now we only do that for the dog. The only food that stopped the vomiting for the kitty is Purina One, Sensitive Systems. It's not all fish, but it did the trick. She hasn't thrown up in AGES! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: That is the food she has been on now for almost a year. Great minds think alike, except it hasn't worked for her....thanks for the suggestion though!
