I'm much more informed about dogs than cats so I'm kinda stumped here. Simon is a 9mo old mixed breed cat we've had since he was 7 weeks. He seems quite healthy in every way. He's up to date on his shots and was neutered about a month ago and has done fine since then. He had a change of food back in early September and has eaten the same thing since then. I honestly don't think he tries to eat anything else around the house with the rare exception of a nibble or 2 of Petey's food. So WHY is my cat barfing daily all the sudden? Is this what happens when they hock up a hairball? If so is there something I can give him for it? Should he see the vet?
We buy it at Whole Foods/Wild Oats, but you can get it at petfooddirect.com if you don't have a natural food store near you. I can't tell you how much we spent on vet visits (including an endoscopy) before we figured out the problem on our own.

The vet suggested we switch to Hairball Control and we've not had as much of a problem since. The only time she pukes is if she does something stupid like stuff her face too fast or if she accidentally gets into the garbage and finds something that doesn't quite agree with her.
