Well I am trying to pick a animal. I have the choice of a a kitten, a puppy a bunny or a bird. I need some help to pick, so what do you think would be best?

Bunnies and birds are a lot of work in comparison to a dog or a cat.

Cats are the easiest to take care of overall.

Really work isn't in issue. I have three dogs and two cats so i am leaning more towards another animal but i also want a puppy/kitten to raise from birth.

is a reptile out of the qestion? cuz i really like leopard geckos and corn snakes but if u cant get a reptile then like i said id go for the dog.

well, i can get one, but my mother doesn't like em much. so im stuck with the four choices. i also want something that will be loyal.

Yikes! You already have a ton of animals! I would probably not add another dog or cat because you may run into problems. Birds are very messy depending on the variety and Bunnies need some good bunny proofing before you want to add them to your household and you may have some real problems with your cats or dogs trying to hurt the bunny or bird. I would seriously consider not adding another animal as I think you will run into some problems or one of your animals getting seriously hurt or killed. It is amazing how much things change just by adding one extra animal. Why not volunteer at an animal rescue so that you can take care of babies but then you help them find their forever homes? That is what we get to do and it is tough sometimes but so much fun. It is the best of both worlds and you aren't stuck with an animal that may not work in your house. Definitely a good volunteer activity to have on the resume. Good Luck!

well, i have had bunnies over before and our dogs dont bother them. they way the house is designed the dogs cant get up the stairs. as far as cats go, my two cats are completely loyal, so i dont know why you said don't get a cat.

PS: We have a large house, so it gets lonely here without a good amount of animals.

I've had all four.

Birds, to be cared for correctly, require a lot of (expensive) equipment and attention. Birds aren't meant to live inside and to have an inside bird healthy and happy you need to be very knowledgable about birds. Most birds are very expensive too. Many of the larger, more beautiful breeds are 500+$. You cannot "play" with a bird. It is literally more like a living ornament. You cannot handle most birds (they bite or claw you. they have to be very used to you to be handled most times. especially the smaller more affordable birds) And you said you have two cats. These will most likely torment the bird. A very very bad idea. The bird will not be healthy or happy. I say no bird.

Bunnies are similar to birds. They require a lot of care and equipment to get started, and they are messy and sometimes very mean. I had a bunny for about two days when my uncle let his sleep at my house. It was truly miserable for all involved parties. The bunny pooped EVERYWHERE and scratched and bit me. It was not happy and neither was I. It made a lot of noise, and again, I think your two cats will torment it. I say no bunny.

Dogs are good, but they (especially puppies) require constant monitoring and care. They will chew everything, have to go on walks multiple times a day, ruin parts of the home if not closely watched, etc. And with your two cats that you already have, puppies can really rile up the existing pecking order of pets. The dogs and cats will probably fight A LOT and unlike another kitten, a puppy could really hurt a cat without meaning to. Typically kids promise to do all this stuff, but they really can't, and the burden ends up on the parents to raise the puppy. I'd lean against a puppy.

You already have two cats, so another should fit in fine. Kittens are easy to raise, and you already have all the equipment like litter boxes and everything. I vote for a cat.

You have to consider what you already have and what you are capable of. Pets aren't just because you "want" something. You have to be ready to care for them. They're living breathing animals with feelings and wants and needs. Whatever you pick, take the decision very seriously and really look at what you're able to give to an animal not only with your physical capablilties but with your home and economic status. getting a kitten spayed/neutered can cost about 100 dollars, along with their feline aids and lukemia vacation even a kitten can be very expensive. Your puppy would need similar treatments too. Think about vet costs (and even things like birds and bunnies need vet visits too, but they'll probably be more expensive because you'll have to go to a specialist) and think about where tehse pets will go when you go on vacation. Who will be taking care of them? Will these pets go to college with you? This is a very serious decision that shouldn't be taken lightly at all.

If youre going to get a dog, I suggest getting one that is full grown. Puppies are cute but some are very very HYPER. hahaha older dogs are more gentle yet still playful

I recommend cats. They're easy to take care of. They're cute and cuddly. Also, when you go on a trip, you can just give them a bowl of food and water and a clean litterbox and they're good to go!

You don't have to waste your freetime taking them out for walks. They're not loud, either.

Speaking of cats, here comes mine right now!!

If you want something loyal, like you said, I'd go with a dog.

But I completely agree with Shelby, and since you already have cats, I'd say the best in this situation would be getting another cat. But if you really want a different pet, I'd go with a dog.

Now instead of you taking care of a puppy, could you maybe adopt a dog? Like get one that is young enough that you will have it for a long time, but not a puppy? Is this an option for you? Because then you won't really have to do all the training and constant care that a puppy requires, but still enjoy having a dog.

Dog!
But, I'm very biased for two main reasons. 1) I've only had a dog before 2) I hate rabbits, birds, and cats!
I find rabbits, birds, and cats annoying and boring(;

I reccomend dogs. They love you, and you can play with them. It's also really easy to take care of them.

Well, i have a dog I got from a shelter (BTW everyone, i have 3 dogs) and he is kinda messed up going after other dogs ect. so i am sticking with raising them from a babe.
