So I can find some reviews in and around the time it opened, but there doesn't seem to be many RECENT reviews for Kouzzina.

So thoughts anyone?

There is a review on the review board with pic's. I read it gets an 8 out of 10

We will also be trying Kouzzina in March. Looking forward to the Fisherman's Stew have read it very good.

One of the things I noticed is some of the dinner dishes have cinnamon in them. I'm unsure about ordering a main dish with cinnamon, while it could be very good, I'd have to sample it before ordering.

Hands down, our favorite meal the entire time we went.

Be prepared - the kitchen is open to the dining room - some people are not aware of that and comment that it is too noisy for them. I eat out a lot and I love to see the hustle and bustle of the kitchen, but it is not for everyone.

Our server was fab-u-lous; paid so much attention to us, despite the fact he had tables all over the room.

I started with a salad with lemon vinaigrette with spicy cashews. Sounds strange at first, but it was fantastic.

I had their version of "lasanga" - it was cinnamon stewed ground beef with a bechamel sauce, buoutini pasta (which is like linguine, but tubular), and then it was baked in the oven with mozzerella on top. Awesome. I added a side of farmhouse greens sauteed in garlic.

For dessert, I had the loukoumades, which are tiny donuts drizzled in warm honey, with a sauce on the side. I was so stuffed by then, but I finished every one of those darn things - they were so good.

Then I walked about the BW for about an hour, to get my tummie to settle down.... it was a wonderful experience.

You would at first assume, it is just a bunch of ground cinnamon sprinkled into a dish. It is not; it is infused fresh cinnamon and it is fantastic.

I had the pastistio, which is their version of lasanga. The ground beef had been stewed in the cinnamon and had a wonderful light, but robust, taste to it. My traveling companion had the cinnamon stewed chicken and it was exactly the same type of flavor. She didn't leave a piece of chicken on her plate.

ooh I love Loukamades. Had a bag of them on the Toronto Danforth ( Greek Town ) several years back. I think we'll be trying ths one out with the parents on our upcoming trip.

I had dinner there on Monday (2/15). The server I had (whose name I believe was Tim) was excellent. I had the spinach pie and the pastitsio; both were very good. Note, however, that the pastitsio is a very heavy, filling dish and can easily be split by two people (many people around me ordered it and no one, myself included, came close to eating all of it). The restaurant was loud, but not unbearably so. I don't love Greek food, but wanted to try this place as it was new. I will go back at some time in the future, but don't plan to do so right away.

Loved Kouzzina, it's on our must do list. The fisherman stew in fab, lots of seafood in a spicy tomato sauce. We also had the steak, whole fish, cinnamon stew all were very, very good. I was pleasantly surprise by the desserts as I wasn't impressed with the menu. The Loukoumades , were so yummy with the vanilla sauce,dd enjoyed their alternate version of baklava as it was rolled and there were many nuts than traditional ,and the Greek cookies made for a tasty breakfast the next morning.

Loved it. Had the fish stew and sopped it up with the bread...it was great. DH had the whole fish and ate the entire thing. He loves fish and said that this was his favorite. DS 14 had steak, said it was good. DS 8 had pasta and chicken as he has food allergies and had chef make him something special. Service here was A++ We had dinner here in Early September during the soft opening. It was pouring rain when we ventured from Kidani village to the boardwalk (no easy feat). We were 30 minutes late (we stood under an awning until the downpour slowed down). Upon entering, we were greeted with warm towels to dry off so we wouldn't freeze in the air conditioned dining room. They even came and exchanged the towels at our table so we could keep our soaked socks dry under the table. Chef came to our table to help us order as well as to ask us what we thought.....EXCELLENT food and service. :cloud9:

Great review! I'm so looking forward to trying this in August.
