Cat Cora

yes , it struck me as odd when I read it.

Creepy or not, I think it is smart because legally it probably provides them the most secure foothold when it comes to the children. That way they are really both the mommies (genetically and by law).

All these chefs are nice, but wouldn't it be wonderful if "The Naked Chef" was actually naked?!! What's up with that false advertising?

No thanks. Don't wanna see that. :lmao:

Yes, I always thought the "wife" thing was :confused3 I don't recall seeing her on the show, I know I must have, is she always on at the end when they eat the food?

I've seen her a couple times (once she helped in the kitchen and the other time was at the very end of the episode) and their chemistry on camera was a bit weird. There was no touching......both of them looked uncomfortable.......and they didn't sit next to each other at the table when they were eating what he had made.

BEEEEP!
BEEEEP!

*turns off his Gaydar*

Michaels wife Eileen is involved in running the winery and she is a photograper. Like most photographers she prefers to stay behind the lens. She has been in few episodes, including the one re-creating the meal served at their wedding. As far as what I know and have heard he is 100% Hetero

Seriously? :scared1:
Wow. Okay, I admit I've been proven wrong. :rolleyes1

Jamie Oliver still has a show on Food Network. ::yes::

We saw Bobby Flay at EPCOT during a FWF cooking demonstration back when they still did them outdoors. He was tiny! He seemed very nervous too. I hadn't liked him up to that point, but his nervousness was a little endearing and now I like him.

Rick Bayless is another great chef. He has a show on PBS. We saw him at EPCOT FWF too. ::yes::

Martin Yan. Another PBS chef, another EPCOT FWF... sure do miss those days!!

Staunton Ho, a wicked pastry chef from Las Vegas (he's a guest judge on Food Network competition shows sometimes).

Last year we saw Paul Bocuse. Whew! Talk about grand dame attitude. That guy reeked! But I guess he can get away with it after all those years.

I regret never having had the chance to meet Julia Child in person. She was pretty incredible.

I hold Ming Tsai in very high regard. Not only for his culinary talent, but because of his approach and standards to food allergies. Although I live in NJ, I applaud MA. on the passage of the Food Allergy Act. I meet him once, at The Fancy Food Show in NYC.

I agree, I wish I had an oppurtuntity to meet Julia Child. That would have been great.

Emeril, I think he is a fake (as far as personaility not culinary talent). I am so tired of him. He truly is a persona created by writers and stylists.

I have always liked Jamie Olivers approach to food.

Gordon Ramsey. OK, I watched Hells Kitchen for the Train Wrecks. I thought very little of him. But recently I stareted Watching The F Word on BBC America. I have to say, I have a new found respect for him. Does anyone know when his place opens at The Borgota?

Keegan Gerhard is funny. He was swearing up a storm at the Seet Sunday we attended, and throwing malted milk balls at some in the audience when they were talking to otherwise interupting him. He walked up to Padalyn and I at an event a year later, and continued with a conversation we had at Sweet Sundays. We were flattered.

I agree Rick Bayless is a talent.

I haven't meet him, but Todd English seems like he been on the arrogant chef scale.

I adore both Jaques Torres and Jaques Pepin. Jaques Torres's chocolates are to DIE FOR. Padalyn treated me to a POUND of his creations for our anniversarry/valentines a few years back. OMG!!!! It was heaven, nirvana, and everything rolled into one.

But if there was ever a dispute, that could easily be proven, who is biologically the mom. carrying the embryo has no bearing on genetics.
But I see where they are going with it.

I whole heartedly "approve" (how stupid is that to say) of the way Cat and her partner have shared embryos. ::yes:: (As if my approval means boo-all anything).

Yes, I'd forgotten about Todd English. We saw him at EPCOT FWF too. He was ummmm...noticeably under the influence of alcohol during the demonstration? Not our favorite, nor is BlueZoo.

We ADORE Jacques Pepin!!! He is the female version of Julia, eh? :teeth: Never have met him, but would love to.

Emeril, although we loved our dinner at his Citywalk Emeril's, is annoying beyond belief. His deliberate butchering of the English language drives me nuts, and I'm sick to death of his tag lines... :confused3

Not huge sweets people, but do agree that Torres is the king of sweets (but Staunton Ho may argue that point! :teeth: ).

Ramsey, well his Hell's Kitchen and that other one about the nasty kitchens? They are more than we care to watch anymore. We did watch a season or two of them, but honestly his swearing gets so old. And trust me, I can outshine him on that score when pushed, so it's not a matter of "prudery" simply boredom with his seemingly inability to communicate without swearing. :confused3 I do not talk like that in a professional setting (to my team) so that's what puts me off. I'd imagine his food is quite good though.

I remember Mario, and Tyler Florence when they first started! :teeth: Love Mario's irreverence but could he talk just a bit slower? Tyler's recipes are generally quite good.

Giada and Rachel we watch from time to time, although we don't always like their recipes. Giada's in particular seem to not translate well in the home kitchen. We like Rachel for her "local girl" factor.

Sheesh. Didn't realize I had quite so many opinions on chefs! :scared:

Puck? Has he had his day? Kurt V (no way can I spell his name!) seems to be the undisputed non Food TV master... maybe Charlie Trotter would disagree, dunno'.

Padalyn treated me to a POUND of his creations for our anniversarry/valentines a few years back. OMG!!!! It was heaven, nirvana, and everything rolled into one.

aawwww, make me blush, why don't cha?

I have a friend who brings his stuff up to us all the time
and OMG!

Have you tried the enrobed corn flakes? OMG how can something so simple be so good!
