I got a visit from the upgrade fairy  and have a cat. 7 with navigator's verandah. This is about as exciting as the surprise upgrade to a savannah view at AKL we got a few years ago.

There doesn't seem to be that many cat. 7 cabins as compared to other categories...but does anyone have pictures, secrets, stories of verandah?

Anything?

The navigator verandahs are my favorites! For pictures check out this thread http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1025732

One of the neat perks of these cabins - your lifeboat drill is sitting down in Animator's Pallete instead of standing out on deck 4.

You are in the aft of the ship which makes it real easy to go up to the drink station, plus being on deck 5 you'll be close to the movie theatre.

Congrats on your upgrade!

We were in one of these cabins. Absolutely loved it. It's a particularly quiet area. The hallway is short, so there's not much traffic in it. When we travel again, I really do believe that we will try hard to get another Navigator's Verandah.

I looked - we don't have any pictures of the verandah itself or the cabin, but we loved it. Whenever we ordered room service, it seemed to be there in a blink, so I wondered if the kitchen or whatever was nearby.

And yes, our life boat drill station was in Animator's Palate. That was neat.

Thanks for info. I was thrilled because it's close to the kids club and the movie theater. Do they really have movie candy/snacks???

LOVE going to movies.

And nice to know that lifeboat drill will be animator's and not on deck. I'll be so spoiled. I'm having such a rough week at work...really need this cruise. Send me pixie dust please.

They do have a cart with movie candy/snacks.
That's one of the things that you pay extra for though.

Don't know how DCL correct it was :guilty:
But, we brought a small candy stash with us and just kept it in a drawer in the cabin, then the kids could grab something when they wanted to go to a movie. We told them when the drawer was empty - no more movie snacks.

Congrats on the upgrade!! :thumbsup2

We had one (5634) on Wonder in December of 2004, and really enjoyed it! You can see pics in the link in my sig. We had only cruised in a Cat. 11 before, so it was a very different experience for us to be able to sit outside our room (or even to be able to see outside our room).
