-what kind of storage is there in the cat 6 bathrooms? Are there shelves or drawers, and is there any counter or shelf space for stuff?

Thanks!!

There is a nautical Mickey clock that will probably wake you up the first morning at 5:30Am becaust the last inhabitants of the stateroom will have left it set for the time they had to get up on departure day. What a way to start a cruise!

The bathrooms have glass shelves around the sink area and above the toilet...bad planning if you ask me......no counter, no drawers. Take an over-door shoe holder that has pockets for your stuff....Wal Mart or Target.

Over the door shoe holder is a MUST. The bathrooms have very little area for storing things.

Actually the clock in the cabin is nautical, but non-Mickey or Disney....it is a generic nautical clock that can be found at most Marine supply stores for much less than what they sell them for onboard (yes, you can purchase one onboard) which is about $40.00 (some times they have a sale). And Videogall is so right about it going off first thing in the AM!!! On several of our cruises it was set for early.

I bring my own small, illuminated travel alarm clock as I like to know what time it is if I get up in the night.....the cabin clocks cannot be seen well from the bed, unless you move it to the night stand but it is not illuminated.

Here is a link to what they look like...

There are no clock radios or electronic clocks with digital displays. There is an analog Mickey clock that does have an alarm but you cannot see the time in the dark. You can always get a wake-up call if you need it. If you need to know what time it is in the middle of the night, I would suggest a digital travel clock.

Both bathrooms have sinks that also have a small shelf below. You can put some items there, but it's not very convenient. The over-the-door shoe holder works great.

In the main cabin, there is good sized surface at the desk with six small drawers. The TV has two shelves above it. The closet has a small surface and two lower shelves. There is also another set of four drawers just outside of the closet with a handy surface on top for ice, glasses and whatever else you need to have handy. Some rooms also have a steamer trunck which contains three or four larger shelves for clothes.

I only travel with guys (no DD for me) and find enough space in the bathroom for my stuff without taking the shoe holder. Between the shelf above the sink and the shelves in the corner I have enough space. There is also a small shelf under the sink that could hold a makeup bag.

But, I am travelling in a Cat 11 in December and my son's girlfriend is joining us so I am going to take the OTDSH for our stuff.

I found that there was enough room to store things. We didn't bring an over the door thing, but had enough shelf space in both bathrooms for our things. There is a small shelf underneath the sink too.

Also next to our closet was a stand up trunk thing, with plenty of storage space, and we used the desk drawers for clothes too. All of our luggage fit under the bed after we unpacked. The outlets by the t.v.'s work great too for hairdryers and such.

We didn't bring an alarm clock, we called the wake up service and Mickey calls to wake you up ::MickeyMo

I have to give my two cents worth here -- whoever designed the bathroom storage on these ships is an idiot. Pure and simple.

We took a Carnival cruise a while back that we poorly compared to Disney in all ways EXCEPT stateroom and bathroom storage. The Destiny had a large mirrored cabinet over the vanity with double doors and several shelves. Heaven!! No need for any over the door hangars!

Still would take Disney over Carnival -- but I miss that cabinet!!
