Cat 4 Family Suite, sleeping for 5?

How do some of the family suites sleep 5? I was under the impression that the sofa pulled out to sleep 2 but from what I have been able to find it only sleeps one. I know there is a pull down bed from the ceiling (1), sofa (1), queen/2 twins (2), where do I put the 5th person?

Thank you!

There is a single sized murphy bed between the couch and the verandah. It pulls down from the wall when needed. It is not a pull down bed from the ceiling but is at regular "floor" level when pulled down.

Hope this helps!

Category 4 is technically a "deluxe family stateroom with verandah"--not a suite, but a comfortable room. We stayed in one on our cruise in July and LOVED the stateroom but there were only 4 of us... We did see another room with the 5th bed pulled down, and my nephew said it was quite comfortable. It does come down directly in front of the door to the verandah, so access to the verandah is very limited when the bed is open (you really have to step onto the bed to get the door open).

No wonder I didn't get result when I did a search, I was phrasing the room cat wrong. I guess my DH and I will be sleeping on a murphy and pullout if the murphy is blocking the verandah. I don't want to not be able to use the verandah at night when the kids are asleep.

Anyone know if there are pictures of the rooms with the murphy bed anywhere?

We have stayed in the Cat 4 with 5 people a few times. They really are great rooms. We love the fact that we all could fit (comfortably) in the same room.

And yes, the only drawback was when the murphy bed was down it was difficult to get to the veranda. But, it is only pulled down when they turn down the bed at night.

I have climbed over it several times to get to the veranda, and it can be a pain, but I still think it is worth it to have the veranda and everyone in the same room.

Yes, here's a <a href="http://www.dcltribute.com/images/category4_cookie1963.jpg"><font color=blue>photo</font></a>, courtesy of cookie1963.

Thank you Dave!!!! No matter how I tried I couldn't picture how the room would be laid out. I had pictured the couch pulling out as most do in hotels, now I understand why it only sleeps one. I'm not thrilled that the verandah will be blocked I was hoping to make use of it while the kids were sleeping. Guess I'll be sleeping on a Murphy bed if I plan on getting any use of the verandah.

I read on some treads that putting the child that will be sleeping on the murphy bed on your bed then move them to the murphy when you go to bed ,that is the way i'll be doing it on our Sept 6th 2003 cruise. I would hate to spend to whole cruise in a cast because I broke my ankle getting over the murphy bed :p
