Cat. 10 vs. Cat. 11

Is the cat. 11 much smaller than the 10? We were in the 10 last cruise. This time we have an 11. It is just my husband and I. The deck location seems better with the 11.

We(4 of us) stayed in an 11 the first time we sailed, then DH & I went back alone in a 10(SPHR). IMO, the SPHR was so worth going up 1 category. However if I only could have gotten a regular cat 10 with no view, I dont think I would have bothered. We really liked the location of our 11(on deck 5) and the split bath in the 10 wasnt really that much of an advantage to us. I believe the extra space in the room is only because of the split bath so the room itself isnt much bigger than an 11.

The category 10 is 30 square feet bigger than category 11. That amounts to an additional 3 feet longer in the length of the cabin. However, with the split bath, it makes the bath tub room smaller. You also get 3 feet more length in the hallway. You actually get more common space in a category 11. The split bath takes up more room and that's why the bed is rotated from a category 11.

My bath at home has two sinks. For the insignificant price difference, why would I want to vacation with less? Take the Category 10!

I have a question that kind of applies here:
I stayed in a category 10, this time, we are taking an extra kid, so we opted for 2 category 11's (families of 5 sure pay through the nose ) Anyway, I am worried about storage.
Is there enough drawer and closet space in a category 11 for 2 or 3 people?

There is plenty of storage, don't forget to put your cases under the bed, lift them up and pop them under.

Thanks everyone for their responses. I was worried about the storage space and it sounds like there will be plenty. The lack of the split bath does not bother me, since it is just hubby and me. I think that I will stick with the 11 because I like the location. I am on deck 6 rather than 1 or 2.

Our 1st cruise was in a cat 10. We just got back from the 5/22 Magic in a cat 11. Not that big of difference. Yes not split bath, but if you put the suitcases under the bed there's plenty of room for 2. We had 3 in ours. No problems.
