Any suggestions for a good place to enjoy just cheese and wine?

The lounges at Jiko or California Grill. You can order a cheese plate and wine at either. Flying Fish is also good for that, but it's difficult to get a seat at their bar.

We will be staying at AKV,Jiko has crossed my mind. Is it ok just to go to Jiko for wine and cheese only?

Yeah, definitely. Like I said, though, I'd try for a seat in the lounge. Enjoy! I like their wine list and their cheese board.

If you are free on a Wednesday afternoon, book the Jiko cheese and wine tasting (not for kids).

Another good place to go is the Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge for wine and the Artist Point cheese plate.
