Castle Walk Thru

Hello All
When Disney Says the Castel Walk Thru is closed for refurb. Is it just the walk thru or is the entire castle under refurb? Is there any construction you can see from the outside?
It will be our first time next week.

It will be our first time next week.

I just got a call back from Disney after I emailed them about this, here's what I was told:

The walkthrough is closed

The castle will be tarped (so yes, definitely visible from the outside, it sounded like the entirety of the castle will be tarped)

The entrance to Fantasyland from Main Street through the castle will remain open.

I know this may be really disappointing if it's your first time there It gives you a reason to come back again soon.

I'm not sure how this is possible seeing the recent photos with huge doors blocking the draw bridge.

i haven't seen the photos but I was wondering how it was possible just based on how the set up was described to me. But this, at least, is what i was told. I did tell them my dates (Sun-Tues next week) so maybe something will change between now and then and the answer was based upon my planned dates?

Either way, I'll take a look when I'm there on Sunday and report back.

Today when I went the castle was not yet tarped, just gated off, so maybe it will be a while before it's covered. I think the Fantasyland entrance they might have been referring to that will remain open is the one on the left side near the boutique.
