Castle Scrim

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this, but I’m here on Main Street waiting for the Magic Morning rope to drop, and there is a very cool scrim on the castle. Still don’t know if the pathway to the left is open, but we are going the Matterhorn way just in case.

My daughter and I were third and fourth on Peter Pan. I saw a lot of confused people, and it worked to our advantage. No pathway open next to the castle. Also, no Maleficent on the back of the castle yet. Just brown scrim.

Ohh exciting. Yesterday they just had the regular brown scrim back up after the storms but not the decorative one that’s been announced.

looks like the top panel and one on the left side was not fitted and cut properly to completely cover the brown scrim. I feel like Disney is losing its attention to detail and sense of urgency with things. sad to see.

I was thinking the same thing. It also seems very dull in color.

Today, there is a Maleficent scrim on the back of the castle that looks really cool.

At rope drop I saw a bunch of people going to the side pathway as we hurried the other way to Alice. I don’t know if it was open, but it wasn’t when I checked a half hour later. Either they let people through there, or a lot of people were very disappointed.

Yesterday was so quiet at Disneyland and at DCA. We hardly waited for anything. Today is extremely busy in comparison. We are at Disneyland. I was very glad that we weren’t trying to get to Peter Pan. It would have been a disaster. We were second on Alice.

The crowds for Toon Town opening a half hour ago were the worst I’ve ever seen, and no characters came out. We’ve always been escorted into Toon Town in the past.

I am so excited about this! Maleficent the dragon is my favorite (and why F! is my favorite nighttime show). I’m recovering from surgery (ended up with sepsis; it’s been an ordeal), so I haven’t been in the parks in a couple of weeks, but hoping to see it in person soon!
